Chapter 15

5 years later...

I woke up from my nap and went down to the conference room. Nat had a meeting that she was supposed to wake me up for. Nat and Steve were in the conference room talking. "Hey," I walked over to Nat and kissed her on the lips. "Hi Steve," I said.

"Hey Aj," Steve said as I grabbed half of a peanut butter sandwich off a plate and took a bite.

"Hey that was mine," Nat said.

"That's for not waking me up," I said, "I wanted to say hi to Carol, Okoye, and Rhodey."

"Oh, sorry," Nat said, "You just look so cute when you sleeping." I sat down next to Nat and put my feet up on the table, "Oh, Carol cut her hair, like really cut it, it looks great."

"Does it make her, if possible, look gayer?" I asked.

"Yes Aj, it makes her look gayer," Nat said.

"Any word on Barton?" I asked.

"Yeah, he's in Mexico, he just took down a gang a few days ago," Nat said, I could tell it was making her upset and was about to change the subject when I heard a noise,

"Oh! Hi. Hi! Is anyone home?" camera footage popped up from one of the monitors, it was Scott Lang, he disappeared though, dusted, did they come back? "This is Scott Lang. We meet a few years ago, at the airport? In Germany? I got really big, and I had my mask on. You wouldn't recognize me," Steve stood up.

"Is this an old message?" Nat stood up and I followed.

"It's the front gate." I took another bite of my sandwich.

"Ant-Man? Ant-Man, I know you know that. I need to talk to you guys." Steve said. We opened the door and Scott walked up to the conference room. Scoot paced around the room.

"Scott. Are you okay?" Steve asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine," Scott said, "Have you ever studied Quantum Physics?" Steve shook his head.

"Only to make conversation," Nat added,

"I have a degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering so I might know a bit about quantum physics," I said.

"Great," Scott said, "So... five years ago, right before Thanos, I was in the Quantum Realm."

"The quantum realm is a place where almost everything is possible. The laws of physics themselves are like suggestions in the Quantum Realm. It's also super microscopic," I said. Nat and Steve looked at me blankly.

"The Quantum Realm is like its own microscopic universe. To get in there, you have to be incredibly small. Hope, she's my. She was my. She was supposed to pull me out. And then Thanos happened, and I got stuck in there,"

"I'm sorry. That must've been a very long five years." Nat said.

"Yeah, but that's just it. It wasn't. For me, it was five hours," Scott said.

"Time blurs in the quantum realm, that's why," I said as I finished Nat's sandwich, Scott nodded.

"See, the rules of the Quantum Realm aren't like they are up here. Everything is unpredictable," he picked up the other half of Nat's sandwich. "Is that anybody's sandwich? I'm starving," He took a bite Natasha rolled her eyes.

"Scott, what are you talking about?" Steve asked,

"Oh my god," I said as I realized what Scott was talking about, "That could work," I whispered.

"What I'm saying is, time works differently in the Quantum Realm," Scott said, "The only problem is right now, we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did? I can't stop thinking about it. What if, we could somehow control the chaos, and we could navigate it? What if there was a way to enter the Quantum Realm at a certain point in time but then exit at another point in time? Like, like before Thanos." He said.

"Wait, are you talking about a time machine?" Steve asked.

"No. No, of course not. No, not a time machine. It's more like a, yeah, a time machine. I know it's crazy. But I can't stop thinking about it. There's gotta be some way, there's gotta be some w... it's crazy."

"Scott, I get emails from a raccoon, so nothing sounds crazy anymore," Nat said.

"So who do we talk to about this?" Scott asked.

"Tony," I said.
