A Not So Hot Girl Summer- Jeremiah Fisher

as Katie made her way to the table, all eyes were on her. why wouldn't they be, she just walked in with the "hottest" boy in cousins. plus, Jeremiah had also grabbed one of the little fig sandwiches and made a run for it.

Katie couldn't help but notice that one of the girls sitting at her table was the same girl Conrad was making out with most of the night during the bonfire, and another one was the one Steven was with too. not that she cared, but it was awkward.

"Hey." Katie said a she took the empty seat beside belly, seeing that she was already situated with the group. "im-"

"Katie, we know." one of the girls said with a chuckle, "im Nicole."

Katie scratched the back of her neck, worried about how they could know her already. 

"hey." the girl beside Katie said to her. "is that from the other night?"

she was looking at the hickey on Katies chest. "this? yeah."

the girl nodded and reached into her purse, taking out some makeup and blending it over the hickey. "here let me fix it." she said, being very gentle. "my name is Shayla by the way."

Katie smiled, thanking Shayla for helping her fix herself up.

Nicole looked over to belly and Katie, examining their figures. "Conrad was saying you guys are going to be juniors in the fall?" she said, questioning if Conrad was correct or not.

belly nodded. 

"so is this like, your first summer in cousins?" 

both girls shook their heads. "we've been coming here since we were babies." Katie said.

the blonde girl across the table, Gigi, nodded. "so like, is Jeremiah like dating either of you?"

belly and Katie laughed. they both knew that it was a long shot for Jeremiah to ever date them, especially since he's always found enjoyment in going around flirting with everyone. being in a relationship would end that. and besides, belly had a thing for Conrad. only Katie knew about it, she swore to keep it a secret.

"Gigi!"

"What?"

Nicole laughed. "Gigi has a massive crush on Jeremiah." she pointed out, even though it was obvious. 

shayla giggled. "yeah, ever since he's gotten abs."

one of the other girls, Dara, looked over to the two teens. "so, what's it like living with Jeremiah and Conrad all summer?"

belly hesitated for a moment, being saved by Paiges voice gathering the attention of all the debutantes. Katie was thankful, there's so much she could say about living with the fisher boys, but they would kill her if they found out her or belly spoke about their personal lives.

Katie sat in her room a few hours after the tea had ended. she wasn't sure if she exactly fit in with the other girls, but she didn't have the heart to tell susannah she wanted to back out. especially since she just cost the woman probably hundreds of dollars in clothes.

that was the problem. susannah was the type of person to pay for anything that anyone she cared about wanted, no matter the price. teens these days would definitely take advantage of that if they could, but none of the teens in the beach house would.

"hey, im going." belly said, peeking into Katies room.

"going where?" Katie asked, seeing that belly was dressed nicely. in fact, too nicely to be going out to the beach of something.

belly blushed a little bit, playing with the ends of her straight hair. "on a date." she said with a little giggle. "I met this guy the other night at the bonfire.. he's really cool."
