2: maggot
"Oh, it's you again!"
Long Shen had gone into the forest early in the morning to pick some edible mushroom for his lunch later. His basket only had a few pieces of mushrooms and he was still searching for any wild vegetables he could find.
Well, his search came to a stop when he sensed a familiar aura approaching from a distance.
It was that spirit — well, curse in this case — he met last time.
He must be out for his blood.
Shen was looking forward to a bloody battle.
Should he prolong the battle or not? Should he end it quickly or not?
It had already been weeks since he last fought and Shen had grown bored with his mundane life ever since he got stuck here.
That curse arrived with bloodthirst rolling off him like giant waves. It caused nearby animals to flee out of fright. The stench of blood permeated the area, making the air heavy. A figure loomed behind Shen, blocking off what little light peeked through the foliage.
Shen tilted his head and smiled, not at all feeling the murderous intent behind those eyes glaring at him with hatred. From up close, the stench of blood seemed thicker but Shen remained unbothered. Instead, his expression remained quite friendly.
"Even if you're a curse, I think bathing is still a necessity. You smell of human blood that had been exposed to air for months."
"..." The murderous air around Sukuna dissolved in an instant, leaving him dumbfounded upon hearing the human's complaints. "Maggot—" but the human raised his hand, shutting Sukuna up.
"Shh I saw a rabbit. Be quiet and let me hunt, alright?"
"..." What the hell was up with this human? Didn't he sense that he was about to be killed? Why was he still hunting for food?! The last thread of Sukuna's patience snapped. However, this poor curse suddenly realized he couldn't move.
Again.
He felt something rough stuck on his lips.
It was that dang paper again!
Just what the hell was up with this strange maggot?!
By the moment he calmed down again, the human arrived back in front of him with an additional rabbit in his basket. "Hi, I apologize for keeping you waiting. This—" he pointed at the paper. "— will last until sundown again. I'll see you around, Mister Curse."
Get back here, you damn maggot! However, no matter how strong his pressure was, the human kept on walking, even whistling as he left.
Ryomen Sukuna's hatred... reached its peak.
.
.
Today, Sukuna was too angry to seek out that human.
That's why, he sent Uraume in his stead.
However, when Uraume came back... they looked as if they walked straight through a terrible storm.
"What happened to you?"
"... Sukuna-sama, that human... that human isn't normal."
.
.
Long Shen hummed as he swept the garden during the late afternoon. Summer has ended and autumn was nearing, causing sea of brown and warm colored leaves to cover the ground.
