Darkness blanketed the lands, swallowing everything whole. Only the flames flickering on the torches and lamps lit up the night.

Deep within the forest, a dilapidated courtyard stood. Although it may look abandoned, if one were to press the hidden lever, a piece of the ground in the master's bedroom would open up. It would reveal stairs descending below ground.

Underneath the master's bedroom was the hidden passage to the lair of the spider lilies -- a group of unknown individuals who specializes in information gathering. No one knew who the members were and no one had ever seen the leader's face. They were a mystery to the public. The only way of contacting them was through recommendation by previous customers.

Due to this, searching for their whereabouts was difficult and almost impossible.

But a certain red-eyed crow pecked the branch it landed on, watching as a shadow flickered in between the trees before entering the dilapidated courtyard. The bird cawed, frantically flapping its wings before it soared into the sky. It began flying in a circle above the courtyard, as if telling the world that someone was in that area.

Suddenly, an arrow pierced right through the crow, ending its life. It fell with a harsh thud on the roof before it turned into a piece of paper out of the blue. The archer who had taken the crow down had just arrived where he thought the crow had fallen.

However, what he saw was a piece of paper with words written on it in red ink. A hole ripped through the center. He picked it up, analyzing what it could be. The archer furrowed his forehead, confusion swirling in his eyes.

He couldn't understand what was written on it but he could tell that this paper... wasn't anything ordinary.

In a certain village, a young man in the middle of hunting a deer in the forest halted in place. His hair was tied with a piece of thin fabric, revealing his youthful face filled with mischief. Dark lashes framed that pair of phoenix eyes, giving him a touch of sinfulness.

This young man was none other than Long Shen.

And yes, he was hunting in the middle of the night.
