My Girl: Chapter 6

(Y/N's POV)

"Pony? Can we talk?" I asked him

"There's nothing to talk about, we almost kissed, but then we didn't. What more is there to it. You don't like me, I don't like you. It was just an in the moment type of thing okay." Pony replied with a stoic expression on his face.

Oof. That one hurt.

"Well if you really feel that way then I guess I'll just go."

"No Y/N. That's not how I meant it!"

"That's what you said." I replied and walked out of his room without another word.

I went down stairs and sat down.

"So, how'd it go?!" Two-Bit asked me as he walked out of the kitchen.

"Oh, yeah it went GREAT!" I said sarcastically while rolling my eyes.

"What happened?"

"Well he basically told me that it was just an in the moment type of thing, and that he doesn't like me and I don't like him, and that there is nothing more to it."

"Well that sucks you should have at least told him how you really feel."

"Well I didn't and it's not like he would even care that I like him. He flat out told me that he doesn't like me anyways."

"You don't know that Y/N/N."

"Really Two? It's not like he didn't just now TELL me."

"Listen Y/N/N. Nothing is ever going to happen if you don't make anything happen."

(Pony's POV)

I went out of my room to go explain things to Y/N when I heard her talking to Two-Bit

"Well that sucks you should have at least told him how you really feel."

"Well I didn't and it's not like he would even care that I like him. He flat out told me that he doesn't like me anyways."

"You don't know that Y/N/N."

"Really Two? It's not like he didn't just now TELL me."

"Listen Y/N/N. Nothing is ever going to happen if you don't make anything happen."

Did she really just say that she likes me?

Man, I really fucked up this time.

If I would have just listened to her like she wanted me to this wouldn't have happened.

She wouldn't be upset and I would possibly have a girlfriend.

(Y/N's POV)

When everyone got home it was around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and everyone decided to go to the park and play football.

I just sat on the swings and watched because I wasn't in the mood to play right now.

Johnny came up to me and started swinging next to me.

"Ponyboy told me what happened." Johnny told me.

"What was there to tell. We almost kissed then we didn't so what." I replied.

"Y/N/N. I'm not supposed to tell you this. So you can't tell anyone. Alright?"

"I won't."

"Well, so I know who's been writing the letters and your not supposed to know, but I thing I should tell you but I'm not su-" He was saying until I cut him off.

"Just spit it out Johnny!"

"Ponyboy is the one who's been writing the letters! And he's liked you for like what two years now I think! I don't even know!" He said really fast.

I could not believe what I was hearing. Ponyboy likes me.

PONYBOY CURTIS LIKES ME.

Wait- then why did he say that he didn't like me.

"Y/N. You okay? Say something." Johnny said while waving a hand in front of my face.

"Johnny. Why did Ponyboy say that he didn't like me earlier?" I asked him out of pure curiosity.

"Oh that. He was embarrassed. He thought you were going to like make fun of him or something" he replied.

"Hey Johnny! You just gonna sit there or are you gonna actually play?!?" Dally yelled.

{Time skip}

We were all sitting in the living room when Pony asked me if he could talk to me in his room.

"I'm sorry for what I said earlier. I was embarrassed. And I just I didn't know what you would think of me. I didn't think that you would want to be friends anymore if you knew how I actually felt. I thought you were going to make fun of me for trying to kiss you or something. Listen Y/N I really like you. You're an amazing friend, your sweet, you're smart, you're funny, you always know what to say when someone's upset, he always know how to lighten up a situation, and you're just perfect all around, and I don't know what I would do without you. I get it if you don't feel the same way I just wa-"

"Ponyboy!"

"Yes?"

"Just shut up and kiss me."

Then he did. When he kissed me. It felt like I was flying. It felt right. It just felt like everything was the way it was supposed to be. When we pulled apart we just sat there in silence, not knowing what to do or say.

"It's really quiet in there. You think they're making out or something?" I heard Two-Bit whisper from behind the door.

"I hope not! That's my little sister!" Dally whispered back

"Shut up! They're going to hear you!" Soda told them both.

I looked at Pony and put my finger up to my lips telling him to be quiet.

I tiptoed to the door and opened it. There was the whole gang, Darry was standing behind everyone else and the rest of the gang was on the floor presumably because they all had their ear against the door.

"Go away! Out! Go, go, go, go. You too Johnny!" I told them all.

They all very reluctantly left.

"Don't do anything with my sister Horse Boy!" Dally yelled while walking out.

"Y/N will you be my girl?" Pony asked me blushing.

I nodded my head smiling ear to ear. I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that I'd went through all that trouble this morning thinking that he hated me or something.

With that he grabbed my hand and we left the room. Everyone started making fun and teasing us as we sat down on the couch next to each other. I had my head on his shoulder and he had awkwardly put had arm over my shoulders but after a few minutes it got less awkward.

"So are y'all like dating or something?" Dally asked with a look of pure repulsion on his face.

"Uh yeah." I replied going red.

"Ahahaha little Y/N/N is red!" Steve yelled out.

"Shut up Steve." Me and pony yelled back at the same time.

"Well okay as long as your happy Y/N. Just don't like kiss or anything in front of me! Okay?" Dally said.

"Okay." I replied then I put my head up and kissed Pony right on the lips.

Dally had a look of hatred and disgust on his face, but I knew he'd get used to it. He did with me and Steve and I know that he just wants me to be happy.

For the rest of the night we all just sat and watched TV.

When I went to bed that night I couldn't help but smile as I lied down on my best staring at the ceiling.

I can't believe that I'm dating Ponyboy Curtis. He's mine and I'm his.
