Secret Admirer: Chapter 4

(Y/N's POV)

It's been two days since Dally found out I liked Ponyboy. It's Saturday so I don't have to go to school or do anything really, but I still like to wake up pretty early and take a shower.

My alarm went off about five minutes ago but I just don't want to get up yet.

A few minutes later I got up. I leave my room and I'm on my way back to the bathroom when Buck says my name. "Y/N, you got some mail." Buck told me.

That's weird. I never get mail and grades aren't coming in for at least another two weeks.

"Just slide it under my bedroom door. I'll get it in a bit!" I replied.

When I got out of the shower I didn't even bother getting dressed I just wrapped my towel around me and ran to my room.

As soon as I got back to my room I closed my door and locked it. I picked up the letter off of my desk. I hate it when Buck goes in my room. That's why I told him to just slide it under my door, but does he listen. NO. Nobody at Buck's ever listens.

When I opened the letter it said.

Dear Y/N

I am so impressed with you; your amazing heart, how your mind works, how you live, and especially, how you love.

I love the way that you can turn any situation into a better one.

I love your outlook on life. How you always see the bright side, you always see life as the cup half full instead of half empty.

When you smile or laugh, it makes my whole day better. When you walk into a room everyone's mood gets better. When you sing along to music in the car, when you dance for no reason to a song you don't even like, when you do anything it feels like the rest of the world is dark and you have a spotlight right on you like your the center of the universe.

I can't stop thinking about you, but I know that you will never like me back.

A boy can only hope! Right?

Wow. I didn't think anyone felt that way about me. Maybe I should move on from Ponyboy if there are people out there who feel this way about me.

OH MY GOD. I need to show this to Johnny and Pony.

(Pony's POV)

I was sitting on the porch with Johnny when we saw Y/N running down the street as fast as she could. I really hope she didn't get my letter. What if she finds out it's me and she doesn't like me back!

Wow she was pretty. The way her E/C eyes sparkle in the sun. The way her H/C hair goes everywhere when she runs, but still looks perfect when she stops.

"Johnny... Pony...!!!" She said between breaths.

When she finnaly caught her breath she sat in between Johnny and I.

"Somebody likes me!" She squealed.

"Really? Who?!?" Johnny asked and I stayed quiet knowing that she got my letter.

"I don't know Johnny cakes." She replied then she took the letter out of her pocket and recited it.

"The handwriting looks so familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it. I have no idea who it is." she told me and Johnny.
