Just A Boy: Chapter 7

(Y/N's POV)

Ponyboy and I have been dating for about a week now and it's been going really good. Dally is still getting used to it, but other than that is gotten pretty normal.

Right now we're at the drive in. Dally was flirting with some Socs who were sitting in front of us. The girl he was flirting with was named Cherry Valance. I have my science class with her.

She's not that bad once you get to know her, I only know from the amount of science projects I've had to do with her. I'd have to say Cherry and I are probably the top of our class.

Everyone sees Cherry as a snobby rich girl. I mean she kind of is when she's in front of her friends, but when it's just you and her it's pretty fun and she's really nice.

She had dumped her soda on Dally's head and he got mad and left.

Don't get me wrong I have no problem with her, but when she started flirting with Ponyboy, I was about to lose it.

"Oh Cherry have you met my girlfriend, Y/N?" Pony asked her.

When he said that she scooted a little further away from him when she realized.

"Yeah, we have science together." Cherry replied her cheeks matching the red tone of her hair.

I hadn't realized it but at some point Two-Bit showed up and started flirting with Cherry's friend Marcia. She didn't seem to mind though. By the look in her eyes I think she kind of liked him flirting with her.

When we left Johnny, Pony, and I went to the lot.

I was in Pony's arms when I realized that he and Johnny fell asleep.

{Time Skip}

A little while later I woke up from being shook by Pony and Johnny. When I finally woke up Pony was yelling something about needing to get home and being in trouble. Then he ran off towards the direction of his house.

I asked Johnny if he wanted to come to Buck's with me and he could just sleep there so he didn't have to go home or sleep outside but he denied.

I decided I was going to go to the park on my way home and look at the stars.

I mean it's not like Dally would care anyways. He'd probably just assume I was at the Curtis's or something.

I was at the park on the swings when I saw Pony and Johnny run up to me and sit down. Pony had a faint bruise on his cheek. It was small and barely visible but still there. (That's what she said. Also I don't know what the thing they were on in the movie was called so imma just say swings)

They sat down and I asked them what happened.

Pony explained that Darry got mad about him being home so late and slapped him and they ran for a while before coming here.

That's when I saw the infamous blue mustang pull up and evidently Pony and Johnny did to because Pony stood up and pushed me behind him and I saw Johnny put his hand in his pocket and grip onto his switch blade.

They were arguing but I wasn't paying attention. I only payed attention to Pony grabbing his switch out of his pocket and handing it to me.

"You guys know what greasers are... White trash with long greasy hair" Bob Sheldon said while slurring his words. I could tell he was drunk because of his voice and I've talked to him at school before. He's normally still a douchebag but not that much while sober.
