Chapter 6:Eddie!?

Disclaimer: This will involve spoilers for people who haven't watched s4 of ST vol 2.

Me and Gareth were just talking to each other, watching a movie and playing a few games, all of a sudden, we get a call on his phone. "I got it.", I said getting up and answering. "Hello?", "Y/N!", it was Eddie, "We're gonna need all hands on deck so get your ass over here!", he hung up on me and I did the same. I looked back at Gareth in a worried face, he knew something was wrong to.
I immediately grabbed my things and was about to head out the door but Gareth grabbed my wrist to stop me. "Y/N, you can't go!", Gareth said almost about to cry. "But I have to!", I broke free from his grasp and rode my bike towards Max's house. Soon as I was there, I busted right through the door closing it which startled everyone. Everyone explained everything to me and I just kept looking at Eddie back and forth. "This is some bull shit!", I said make 2-5 things explode or crush from my rage. "Yes it is, Y/N, but you...", Dustin said pausing for a moment, "You can also do more than us.", "I know I can but...we would fail.", I responded.

Later on that day, we went to the gun store, I stayed in the truck with Eddie, Dustin, and Lucas. I was trying my best to reach my parents, till I did. "We can't go back now for them!", it was my dad, "Our child is already in deep shit, Janet.", "But Erne...Y/N..", my mother responded while being cut off. "BUT NOTHING!! She not even our biological child.",father said to my mother, they were both crying and holding each other. I can't believe they just...you know what, forget it. I cut off from reaching to my parents already crying. Eddie rushed over to me holding my hand, "Hey, Y/N.", he pulled me in close hugging him. "It's ok, you don't have to tell us what you saw..", I was shaking and crying my eyes out. Dustin and Lucas looked at each other.
After a lot of reassurance from Eddie, Lucas, and Dustin, everyone else, Nancy, Max, Erica, Robin, and Steve, jumped quickly into the trailer, they told us that Jason and his crew was here so we quickly drove outta there.

We had stopped in a field where no one can find us, everyone was getting prepared, I was just sitting with Eddie and Dustin while they play fight. I nailed my bat and trash can shield and loaded up 2 of my guns. Eddie came up to me after checking on the Sinclair siblings, "Hey, Y/N.", "Oh hey.", I responded. "Whatever happened in that lil mind of yours,", he said poking at my head, "ignore it. Just know you can't have it affect you.", I nodded while looking down. "Also, just know I'll do the most craziest shit yet and I know...you are different and you better help us all.", he added while putting his ring that was on his left hand onto my finger. "I'll try my best.", I said while looking into his eyes. I couldn't stop thinking about my parents and what they said, but yet...Gareth, I hope he's ok.

Gareth's POV

"Holy shit man!", I screamed pacing around. Opal, Y/N cat, followed me back and forth meowing. I stopped and picked her up. "Opal, what are we going to do..they'll lose their powers or even worse...die.", I said to Opal as she rubbed her head against my cheek.
Whatever happens, I know they can do it.

Y/N's POV

Once everyone was ready and in their groups, I was watching Eddie and Dustin make his trailer in the upside down secure. "Not bad.", Eddie said, "Not bad at all.", Dustin replied. "Well shit... y'all did good.", I said patting their shoulders. Eddie chuckles, "Now for the fun part.", we all rushed inside to his guitar. "It's like...she was destined for an alternate dimension.", Eddie said, "What do you say, you guys? Are you ready for the most metal concert in the history of the world?", "That a rhetorical question?", Dustin asked. "I'm ready.", I added smiling. "Let's do it.", Eddie said leading the way up to the room.
Once we were ready for the next faze, Eddie started playing Master of Puppets luring in the bats towards us, they were starting to close in. I quickly ran inside before them and they ran in after me. I used my powers on most of the bats Eddie and Dustin were cheering.

Soon as we heard the bats on the roof, we huddled up. I grabbed my weapons outta my bag. "Hey, dipshits!", Dustin yelled, "Give up that easy, huh?", Eddie shushed Dustin, "Is that really necessary?", Eddie asked. We heard clattering from a vent on the ceiling. "What the fuck..?", I whispered. "They're on the roof.", Eddie said. Dustin and I said "Shit" at least three times. "They can't get through there, can they?", Dustin asked. We all screamed once it open the vent and stared stabbed at them and Eddie closed it off with his shield. "Holy shit. Holy shit.", Eddie repeated. "Nice", said Dustin. I gave Eddie a thumbs up. "Thanks.", he said. "Is there any other vents?", Dustin asked, "Oh shit.", Eddie realized and rushed to his bedroom.
The shrieking of the bat came out and Eddie slammed the door. Eddie screamed "LETS GO! LETS GO!", Dustin jumped back in first, I was gonna jump last but Eddie cut the sheet of rope. "EDDIE WHAT THE HELL!?", both Dustin and I screamed.
Both me and Eddie ran out and started running from the bats and hopping onto a bike. I made a couple shots at the bats, yet we were knocked off and fighting for our lives. Eddie was getting eaten alive and I screamed reaching for him bleeding out myself soon as the all fallen. I dragged my body over to him, "E-Eddie..!", I cried holding his hand.

Dustin's POV

I had immediately got a chair and jumped up from it and into the upside down, my leg was fractured but I made my way over to Eddie and Y/N as soon as possible. "EDDIE! Y/N!", I yelled, "GUYS!", they were both coughing up blood, "Oh God! Oh God, Eddie.", I held him by his head. "Bad, huh?", Eddie said, "No. You're gonna be fine. Just gotta get you to a hospital, okay?", I responded. Y/N was was crying and holding his hand tightly. "Okay.", Eddie said. Y/N tried to help me get him up weakly. "I think I just...I think I just need a second, ok?", said Eddie, I responded saying ok. "I didn't run away this time, right?", Eddie looked at us both and said in a weakly way. "No..no no, you didn't run.", I said shaking my head. "You did well, Eddie..", Y/N said crying.

"You're gonna have to look after those little sheep for me, okay?", Eddie said.

"No, you're gonna do that yourself.", I responded almost about to cry.

"Nah, man. Say 'I'm gonna look after them.', say it."

I tearfully said it, "Good.", Eddie said, "As for you Y/N, remember...", he points at the gifted jewelry he gave them, "I'm always with u.", they nodded.
"Cause I'm actually gonna graduate.", Eddie said chuckling weakly, "I think it's my year, Henderson. I think it's finally my year.", he said while struggling and choking on his words. "I love you, man.", "I love you to.", he started to choke on his blood and start to die.
Both me and Y/N started saying his name.

Y/N's POV

Soon as me and Dustin left Eddie behind, I held Eddie's bandanna in on hand and carrying Dustin on my arm. Then the ground began to quake, opening 4 strips of all the gates emerging into our world.
Once everyone regrouped, we all asked each other if we were ok, I was slowly dying, Dustin was injured and we told them Eddie died.
Soon as we were out of the Upside Down, we decided to stop by Gareth's house I quickly reached out for him screaming and crying that Eddie was dead, luckily Jeff and Phill was there to hear about it.

Two Days Later

I was still upset about Eddie, it just feels like everything was...gone, he was my best friend. I didn't eat or sleep for the longest time, and hearing that Max almost died also hurts.
My parents were back home and were packing up so we can evacuate, I didn't want to leave, I'm not ready. I ran out the house to Nancy's with Opal and my bags. Soon as I got there Mike, El, Will, Jonathan and some other dude was there. "ELEVEN!", I screamed and jumped in her arms to hug her. "FOURTEEN!", she hugged me tightly spinning me around. I was so happy to see her. "Will..", I looked at him and hugged him.
They went ahead to go see Max while I go to school where we have to drop off donations. I was helping people till me and Dustin saw Eddie's uncle. "Go ahead and tell him.", I said patting Dustin's back and walking away to help others.

A few moments later, it began to snow, it wasn't regular snow...it was more like...ash. Everyone rushed outside to see the red thunder. Me and Dustin looked at each other and knew, this war isn't over yet.
I held his hand and said, "You ready for round 2..?", I chuckled and as I teared up.
