Vacation Last part {Gareth x Reader} Chapter 12

It was our last day on the cruise, so we all decided to spend it all together, along with Jason since he's our friend now. My parents came by and told us that we get to shore at 6:09 pm, so we got the all the time we needed.

Me and everyone else were swimming on the pool. Steve, Dustin, Robin, and Eddie were chicken fighting, Nancy was sitting under the umbrella reading a magazine, Gareth and I were just swimming and splashing each other, and Jason was sitting on the side of the pool. I saw that Jason was kinda upset so I swam up to him just to check in, "Hey, you good dude?", I asked. "Oh ya, I'm fine.", he said giving me a fake smile, "Kinda feels weird hanging out with you guys.", "That's understandable, you just need to adapt.", I said. He then sighed and nodded. "Come on, let's swim!", I said pulling him by his hands, "You gotta let loose.", he then got down into the water and swam with me and Gareth. Steve, Dustin, Eddie, and Robin came up to us and planned a how long can you stay under water competition, so of course we played at least 16 times, of course I won against everyone.

Once 6:09 rolled around, everyone put their stuff in the back of Eddie's van, Jason was still holding onto his stuff standing behind us. "Eddie.", he then asked walking up to him, "Is it ok if I ride with you guys?", "Oh sure, just ask your parents real quick.", Eddie said smiling. Jason quickly ran up to his parents to ask, and they nodded, he then came back and hopped into the van. "Great to have you abroad, Jason.", Steve said looking into the back of the van. "Great to be here!", Jason responded.
Meanwhile, we all started to drive off to my place. Everyone was talking and listening to the radio. Gareth was resting his head on my shoulder fiddling with my rings. I kissed his forehead for a bit of reassurance. "Honestly, I don't know how you do it.", he said still fiddling, "You just make it so easy to make a new friend and I wish I could do that.", "Well, it's all about listening and getting to know the history of that person,", I said, "and I like to give them time, especially ex bullies.", I then kissed Gareth and we both chuckled.

Once we got to my house, everyone decided to watch a scary movie, A Nightmare on Elm Street. Chrissy had also came over to hangout, things are still weird between her and Jason but they're chilling for now.
I had used my powers to bring myself a drink from the fridge, Jason had caught a glimpse of admired it. "How did u do that?", he whispered. "Oh, Y/N has powers.", Dustin said. "They were raised in the Hawkins lab half their life.", Robin also added. "Yep, what they said.", I said smiling. "That's fucking badass!", Jason said also smiling. Opal had got up from my lap and sniffed Jason and rubbed her head against his head. Jason petted Opal gently. "Well she likes you.", I said chuckling.
We all continued to watch the movie after eating a few snacks my parents bought. "This blows...", Eddie said. Everyone agreed by saying "Yep.", "How about we go roller skating?", I said sitting up, "There one that's open for 24 hours. It also has a arcade.", "That sounds like a great idea.", Chrissy said smiling. We all got up, and went our separate ways to bathrooms and spare bedrooms to get changed, Gareth he came upstairs with me to my room. "We should match!", Gareth said hugging me from behind excitedly, "Then everyone at that rink will know your mine.", he then said smirking. My face turned completely red, "Ok then~!", I said looking down and chuckling. Our fit was Metallica shirts, Jean shorts, and converse.

Everyone all gathered downstairs but there was a small issue cause Eddie was the only one with a vehicle. "Wait hold on a second.", Steve said putting his hand on his hip, "Y/N, don't you have a car?", "No, but we can borrow one of my parent's.", I said smiling, "They let me drive it once in awhile but I like to take them out on a joy ride." Everyone followed me to my garage as I grabbed both my parents keys.

I had pointed back and forth to the cars and my finger landed onto my mom's. "I guess we're taking my mom's!", I said smiling. "Robin, Chrissy, Nancy, and Jason can ride with me, Eddie you can get the rest.", we both agreed and hopped into our vehicles and drove off to the roller rink.
"Oh wow, your mom's car can play tapes?", Jason said looking at the radio. "Oh yeah, it does, there's some tapes in the glove department.", I said pointing at it. He open the glove department and skimmed through the tapes, "Joan Jett?", Jason picking it up, "Your mom has a Dead End Justice one, that's one of my favorite songs!", "Mine to!", Chrissy said, "We should play it!", "Ok, pop it in Jason.", I said smiling.
Jason popped in the tape and once the song started we were singing along. Robin was doing a air guitar and Jason was playing air drums.

Soon as we got to the roller rink, everyone else were already inside. "Holy shit that was fun!", Robin said, "Honestly from your mom's music taste, she must've been such a badass.", "Yeah she was, look.", I said pulling out a picture of her from 1966. Everyone just went like "Damn!", I chuckled and put down the picture. "Alright, let's go in with everyone else.", I said getting out the car and grabbing the keys. Soon as we were inside, the people up front said it was free skate night, so that's fun. We got our skates, put them on. I skated towards Gareth, "Hi love!", I said as I kissed him, "You ready?", "Oh yeah, I am!", he replied kissing me back. He got up and held my hand as we skated to the rink and skated together, he was having trouble but I held him up and kept holding his hand, "Just relax.", I said calmly with a smile. Everyone else were having fun, Eddie and Steve having a race, Dustin and Chrissy just having a chat, Robin and Nancy holding hands as they skated as well, and Jason just falling on his ass but still trying. Chrissy had saw Jason and skated towards him and helped him, Dustin did as well, till they all fell and just laughed it off. I looked back at Gareth and smiled, he smiled back. "ALRIGHT EVERYONE, ITS TIME TO BOOGIE!!", the DJ said into the mic and played Boogie Wonderland by Earth, Wind, and Fire. "Holy Shit!", I said smiling, "My favorite song! I gotta dance to this!", I let go of Gareth's hand and started to dance as I skated. I spinned in a circle and went side to side moving my hips. This is the most fun I've ever had.

Gareth's POV

They looked so graceful dancing, I'm glad to see her having fun. "Y/N seems to be really good at this.", I said going towards Eddie and Steve. "Yeah, they only know how to skate to the beat of the music.", Steve said catching his breath, "Then they would never stop because it's their passion.", Eddie said also catching his breath. I sat down and kept watching Y/N, they were so cute and just more relaxed. This summer has just been everything but stressed but yet very calm.
