Guitar practice {Gareth x Reader} Chapter 8

It's the summer of 1986, Eddie, Steve, Chrissy, Nancy, and Robin had already graduated, they still stick around before they're off for college, Eddie on the other hand might not even go.
Today, Gareth asked me if I can give him guitar lessons. We were teaching him how to play, I Was Made For Loving You by Kiss, which is our favorite song. I sat behind him guiding his fingers onto the strings. "Your doing so well love.", I said resting my head on his shoulder. "Thank you love.", he replied kissing my cheek.

After a 2 hours of going over 2 parts of the songs we were laying side by side on my bed gazing at the ceiling. "So when are we gonna have more lessons?", he said turning over. "Well, whenever you like love.", I replied turning over to face him. I kissed him ever so gently, him pulling me closer into him. "Well what if we have another kind of guitar lessons~?", he whispered into my ear and then kiss the sensitive part of my neck causing me to release a small moan. "Oh darling~.", he said sitting up and getting on top of me, "Is that your most sensitive part~?", he added getting closer to my neck kissing it over and over again and going a little lower. "Gareth..", I mumbled his name causing him to stop. He looked at me, my face was red and I was really flustered. He smirked and got closer to my face, "You know we don't have to angel, I was just teasing~.", he said chuckling. I quickly pulled him in passionately kissing him, "I'm pretty sure I want to!", I said kissing him again.

After all that, our necks were covered in hickies and love bites. "Now that...was fucking amazing.", Gareth said looking at me. "Sure was.", I replied kissing him once more. "But um, what time is it?", he asked. I looked at my alarm and realized it's 6:40 pm, "6:40! HOLY SHIT!", I said quickly getting up and getting dressed in my baggy cargos and Kiss band shirt that I made into a crop top. Gareth had also quickly gotten dressed. "I FORGOT ABOUT THE DND GAME!", I yelled rushing downstairs to see Eddie, Dustin, Mike, Lucas, Phill, and Jeff in my living room. "Damn it!", I said stomping my foot on the ground, "Henderson, I forgot my parents gave you a spare key!", "Hey guys-!", Gareth said coming downstairs. "Dude—we heard everything.", Mike said looking at us both. Me and Gareth's faces turned completely red. Eddie walked up to me and examined my neck, "Oh wow, hickies to?", he chuckled and looked at Gareth. "Alright dude!", I said, "Let's just start the damn game!", I stomped my way over to the table with a red face and all. Gareth sat next to me looking forward.

After playing DND, Dustin, Mike, and Lucas had pulled me aside into my parents empty bedroom. "Uh what's going on?", I asked them. "Um is there anyway you can contact El?!", Mike asked. "Ya but—..", I began before being cut off by Dustin. "Or even Will?!", Dustin added, I tried to speak again but Lucas cut me off once again, "Or did you lose your powers?!". I blankly stared at them confused on why they are asking me so many questions. "Guys..what for?", I asked them. "Because they have not answered their phone for the past 48 hrs!", Mike said. "Oh shit-.", I said covering my forehead, "Um ya, just give me a moment.", I said walking to the bathroom filling the tub with salt water. "Ok come on guys.", I said motioning them in.
I started to lay in the water with my eyes closed and the boys surrounding me.

I entered El's mind to see where she and Will are till I see Jonathan driving. They seemed pumped about something.
"I'm glad we're moving back to Hawkins!", Eleven said turning her head to Will. "Me to! I can wait to see everyone again.", Will replied.

"They're moving back.", I told the boys. All 3 excitedly said "That's great!"

I got closer into El's mind to see the full picture instead of a empty black background. I look out the window to see cars following behind them, not just regular cars, secret agent cars. "Uh guys.", Jonathan said, "We have an issue.", El and Will looked back to see the cars.
"Oh god.", Will said in a panicky way.
El turned to her left to see me, my faded shadow of my face still looking at the cars. "Fourteen?", she mumbled. I didn't pay attention but instead I made the cars explode. I looked at El and smiled.

"She sees me.", I told Mike, "They were being chased. They were after El."
I quickly woken up almost in a panic, nearly drowned in the water, and sat up gasping for air. Lucas quickly got me a towel, Dustin and Mike helped me out the tub as Lucas wrapped me in the towel.
"So they're coming back.", Dustin said. I nodded, "Yet, El might still be in trouble with Papa and-..", I said coughing into the towel, "the damn military dude.", everyone all looked at me in shock.

As all 4 of us walked out of my parents room, Gareth had rushed up to me. "Holy shit Y/N!", he said holding my face, "Why do you smell like the ocean?", "Um..I—..", I began before Dustin cut me off, "They were showing us how they do their ocean swimming.", he said with a terrible lie. "With their clothes on?", Eddie asked budding in on the convocation, "Yes!", Lucas said.
"Um imma go change—and take a shower.", I said slowly walking away. "Ok! We're just gonna go home.", Mike said. Everyone had left my house except Gareth. "Your not gonna go?", I asked him still dripping wet. "No love, I just wanna stay here with you.", he said winking and going to sit down on the couch leaving me flustered.

After my shower I walked downstairs in Gareth's hoodie and a pair of shorts and my guitar in my hand. I sat down next to him. "So what we doing now love?", I said starting to struggle on my guitar strings. "That's up to you, angel.", he said smiling at me. I began to play our second favorite song, Who's loving you by The Jackson 5. We sang together looking into each other's eyes, inching closer to kiss as we continue to sing.
"I love you dearly Y/N.", Gareth said. "I love you to Gareth.", I replied kissing him once more.
