Vacation {Gareth x Reader} Chapter 9

"Y/N!", My dad called my name, "We have some news!". I came rushing downstairs into the living room, "What is it?", I asked him while picking up Opal. "Well dear, we're going on vacation!", my mother said smiling. "Oh great, see you guys soon I guess.", I said turning to the stairs. "No, Y/N, a vacation for all of us and your friends.", my mom said coming up to me. I looked at her and smiled, "Wait actually?", I began to tear up a bit, "So I get to invite my friends and be with you guys?", "Yes dear, we feel bad for leaving you behind and want to make it up to you.", mom said hugging me gently. Opal climbed up onto my shoulder and purred. "Tell your friends, we're leaving by Sunday.", dad said coming up joining the hug, "Also you can only bring 6 friends.", he then added as I nodded.

I called Eddie, Gareth, Dustin, Robin, Steve, and Nancy to pack their bags since my parents are taking us out on the vacation.
Once Saturday rolled around, Eddie had pulled up in his van with everyone else to my house. "Hi Mrs and Mr. L/N!", everyone said at the same time as they smiled. "Hello everyone!", my mother said letting them inside, "You can go ahead and get some rest in the living room, the ship takes off at 4:37 pm and we have to be there at 3:50 pm.", everyone nodded and sat in the living room.
Gareth was about to come upstairs to see me till my dad stopped him. "Where are you going young man?", he asked. "Oh to see Y/N sir.", Gareth said nervously. "No your not, stay down here.", dad said letting Gareth off the stairs. My dad just gave him a death stare which made Gareth a bit timid as he sat down. I came downstairs with Opal and waved at everyone. Gareth had looked at me and smiled, "Hi love!", he said happily. "Hi Gar.", I said giving him a small kiss on the cheek, "Hey uh, mom, can I ride with my friends?", I asked looking back at them. "Of course honey!", she said while cooking dinner for everyone along with my dads help.
"Oh shit-!", mom said reaching for the boiling soup, "I forgot all about the soup!", she said stirring the pot. Gareth had gotten up to go help my mom, "I can help Mrs. L/N.", he said taking over the pot. "Thank you Gareth!", she said going back to cutting up Sweet Potatoes and asparagus ends.

After everyone ate, me and everyone watched a movie as my parents were already asleep in their room. "Honestly it's very nice of your parents to take us out on a cruise, Y/N.", Nancy said. "Ya, but it's more like a important cruise.", I said, "It's a nomination cruise for them and of course, we have to dress up for it.", I added while laying my head onto Gareth's shoulder.
"Well, let's just have fun.", Steve said, "It's honestly the first time in forever you went on a vacation with your parents.". Everyone agreed with Steve, I just say there looking at Gareth's hands.

Once it was 4:37 pm, we all got to our room on the boat. Me and Gareth share a room, Eddie, Dustin and Steve share, Robin and Nancy share. I was getting dressed in my fancy clothing (Tux or Dress) for my parents little early welcome party. I put my hair in a sorta messy ponytail and put on my bracelet till Gareth came up behind me to hug. "You look very handsome/beautiful.", he said kissing my neck. I blushed, "Thank you~!", I said kissing his cheek, "I'll be back in an hour or two, have some fun with everyone else in the pool or something.", I added kissing him. "Ok love, see you soon.", he said smiling and kissing me back. I walked out the room and walked to the meet and greet area where my parents were.

Gareth's POV

As I got ready to go to the pool to hangout with Eddie and Dustin.
"Alright, you ready Gareth?", Eddie said opening the door. I looked at him and nodded as I got my towel. "Where's Y/N?", Dustin asked. "They had to go with their parents to the meet and greet.", I replied. "That sucks!", said Eddie. "I know but they'll be back.", I said fiddling with my necklace.
Soon as we got to the pool, Dustin had jumped in screaming cannon ball. I had got splashed a bit but it's whatever. "God.", I sighed while sitting down next to Eddie. "Dude, you ok?", he asked, "Your fiddling with your ring.", "Oh um, just worried about Y/N.", I replied, "I wonder if they're ok.".

Y/N's POV

I'm definitely not ok. Me and my parents have just been shaking hands and walking around for the longest time till I saw, Jason. "Um mom, can I go back to my friends?", I asked her nervously. "Oh but honey, these are our last people.", she said placing her hand on my shoulder. "I know but—..", I was cut off once Jason and his family walked up to us. "Why hello!", my parents said. Jason immediately grabbed my hand shaking it for quite some time, "Hello, L/N.", he said squeezing it. "Hi.", I said not trying to make a sound. "Didn't expect you out of all people to be here! Who else is here!", he asked getting into my face. I quickly got out of his grasp, "No one asshat!", I said backing up. "Y/N!", my dad said. "I'm sorry but I really don't fucking like him dad!", I said storming off and almost making a whole scene. Jason had started to follow me.

"Y/N!", Jason called out.

"Leave me alone!", I said walking faster.

He began to walk faster to. Eventually, Dustin and Gareth guarded me. "What the hell are you doing here?!", Gareth said pushing Jason back. "Family business, freak!", Jason said. Eddie then stepped up, "Dude, I suggest you to leave Y/N alone.", he said. "Alright fine! But I'll be back.", Jason said storming off.
Gareth came up to me and gave me a hug. "Did he hurt you?", he asked holding my face. "A little, he squeezed my hand.", I said, "It's kinda red.". Gareth gently held my hand and kissed it, "Let's get back to our room.", he said walking me there along with Dustin and Eddie behind us.

Hours went by, me and Gareth were laying in the same bed watching a movie. He held me close in his arms and having my head lied down on his chest. "Gareth.", I said looking up at him. "Yes?", he answered. "My parents got me, you, and Eddie a gig in the auditorium for tomorrow night.", I said excitedly. He smiled big and wide, "Fuck ya!", he said kissing me. "The people wanna here more like fancy songs or something.", I then added. "We can totally do that!", he said. We then continued to kiss and make out till we fell asleep.
