Okay, so I felt guilty for eaves dropping, but I just wanted to know what was wrong with Annabeth. She's my best friend and to help her, I needed to know what was going on, so I pressed my ear against the door that led to the hallway where Percy and Annabeth were talking, and believe what I had just heard. My jaw dropped. Oh gods, Annabeth was pregnant? With twins?! They were having Percababies!!!!! Calm down Piper, I thought to myself. You're not supposed to know this, so keep it cool.

Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Ahh!" I screamed, whipping my head around. "Oh," I sighed woth relief. "It's just you."

"Nice to see you too, Pipes," replied Jason sarcastically. "Why're you so jumpy?" I looked down to see that my knees were shaking, and my hands were tapping on the hand sanitizer dispenser.

"Jumpy? I'm Not jumpy! Am I? We're all ADHD right? Well Except for Frank, he's lactose intolerant, but you get the point." I babbled on and on until Jason stopped me.

"Whoa Pipes," he said. "Calm down. I know there's something you're not telling me, you always get like this when there is? What is it?"

"I'm not supposed to know this, but I guess I can't keep anything from you, so I might as well tell you," I answered. "Percy and Annabeth... they're gonna be having twins."

"Wow," Jason said, staring into space. "My bro's gonna a dad. I know he'll make a good one though. So are they happy with it?"

"Well I told you," I reminded him. "That I'm not really supposed to know any of this, and neither are you. But from the tones of their voices that I heard, they seemed pretty excited, but also extremely scared."

"I think we should—" Jason was cut off by Nico, who ran up to us, gasping for breath, a very sad look on his face.

"Guys!" he was still out of breath, and I noticed his eyes were puffy and red, water starting to run down his face. "It's Hazel," he sobbed. "Sh- she... her heart stopped. The doctors are doing everything they can to save her but... I sensed her death. My sister is gone." Nico began to cry, not trying to stop the tears anymore, and we followed him to Hazel's hospital room, where Percy, Annabeth, Leo, and Frank ad already gathered.

There were no doctors there anymore, so I assumed they'd given up. I couldn't believe that Hazel, one of my best friends in the entire world, was dead. Water rushed down my cheeks, and Jason put his arm around me to comfort me.

"She's not dead," Frank muttered. Then louder, "SHE IS NOT DEAD! HOW CAN ALL OF YOU JUST GIVE UP ON HER THAT EASY?!"

Nico was about to tell Frank he sensed her death, but I stopped him. "He needs a moment to process all this," I told Nico calmly. "Let's just give him some time to accept it." I gestured for everyone but Frank to leave the room. As we exited, I could her Frank whisper, "I know you're not really gone. They might beleive it, but I don't. I love you Hazel, and I know you're not dead. I can feel it."
