Chapter 10: Jason

After we told Chiron everything, there was a long and awkward silence. Percy and Annabeth had even revealed to everyone that they're expecting twins, which relieved me because it had been lots of pressure keeping that secret. Lost I'm my deep sea of thoughts, I forgot what was going on, until Nico broke the silence. "Well we should probably get the Apollo campers to make sure both Annabeth and Bia— I mean Hazel, are okay."

There was an uneasy tension in the air. Nico had almost just called Hazel Bianca, the name of his other sister that died. I'd never met Bianca, but people had told me about her, and also how she was still a sensitive topic around Nico.

I glanced at Hazel, who clearly looked hurt that her brother had mistaken her for his other sister. I didn't want to leave Nico hanging like that, so I replied, "Uh yeah, that's a good idea." Then I turned my attention to the centaur stroking his beard. "Anything else you need to tell us Chiron? No evil earth goddess trying to kill people and take over the world again?"

He chuckled. "Thankfully not, though we should not let down our guard. You never know when we'll be attacked."

As if on cue, a deadly looking arrow shot through the open window and found it's point on the back wall, an inch away from my head. Seconds later, a slim and tall, well-tanned, blonde man ran in through the front door. "Sorry! I'm sorry about the arrow! I was at archery practice, tripped while shooting an arrow, and it just went flying in the opposite direction! And then I—"

He stopped when he saw Nico. The two of them shared a strange glance and then Chiron cut in. "Will, while you are here, would you mind taking Hazel and Annabeth to the infirmary please? Once you're there they will explain what has happened to them and what they need."

"Sure thing Chiron," he answered before walking out the door, followed by the two girls. I decided I would talk to Nico later about that look they'd given eachother. I mean I unsterstood that Will Solace and Nico dated after the big war with Gaea, and that they were together until last year when Nico moved into the mortal world and Will stayed at camp, but I needed to know more if I was going to be there for my friend.

Suddenly, Will came back into the Big House. "You know what? I might actually need some help with this. Nico, can you come along?"

He didn't look very happy about it, but the son of Hades stood up to join Will, and together, they walked toward the infirmary.
