No one in the world could possibly know what this felt like. The love of my life dying before my eyes, and my best friends, who are also her best friends, just accepting it so easily. I didn't beleive Hazel was really gone, not for a second. I knew that there was still a small bit of life inside her, and I would NOT let her die twice.
"Hazel," I whispered softly. "Please open your eyes. I need you to wake up. I know you're not dead, so please don't make me wrong. I love you too much to lose you like this. I leaned down, touching my lips to hers, thinking this might be the last time we'd ever kiss.
Then her finger twitched, and a surge of hope went through me. I took her hand, as her eyes fluttered open. "Frank? Are- are you okay? The last thing I remember was the accident... and being pulled into an ambulance... "
"You're asking if I'm okay? You're the one that got hit by a truck, and went unconcious, and you're still worried about me? Hazel Levesque, you are by far, the bravest, and kindest girl I've ever met."
She didn't reply. She just kissed me, and I can't even describe how happy I was in that moment. She was alive, we were together, and that's all that mattered. I pulled away when Percy walked into the room. He began talking, "Frank, we're all really sorry for what we-" He stopped when he saw Hazel, smiling.
"Hazel! You're alive!" Percy ran up to give her a hug, then called the others in. They all crowded around the hospital bed to see Hazel, and Nico gave his sister a giant hug.
"But... how?" asked Piper. "Hazel, I'm so relieved you're alive, but, how? Your heart had stopped."
" Well," Hazel answered. "It sounds cheesy, but I guess I just needed my true loves kiss." She looked at me and smiled.
