Felix managed to get inside the apartment without hurting his body too much. His legs were hurting, and his back was definitely not functioning as it should have. Even though his body didn't suffer that much, his mind did: it was a whole rollercoaster trying to get inside.
Without a phone and a coat, despite Felix trying to run away as soon as possible from Chan, the older instead on driving him to his place. Against his will, Chan picked him up and literally put him in the car, making the younger tell him the address. The way there was awkward: barely any words spoken, just Chan driving and humming occasionally to the songs that were playing. Felix didn't want to admit, but he found the humming comforting: it reminded him of his childhood.
"Is it upstairs?" asked Chan out of blue, catching Felix with his guard down.
Felix nodded.
"Well, let's go then" said Chan nonchalantly, parking the car.
The younger looked around and turned to Chan, confused. "I live further away."
"I know that, Felix" paused Chan, taking off his seat belt. "But it's better for us to walk from here." Chan received a quizzical glare, to which he answered with a well-known sentence, that Han and Changbin, even Jeongin grew tired of: "It's for your safety."
"Whatever" mumbled Felix under his breath, desperately removing his belt to escape the car earlier.
When he opened the door and tried to get out, his legs kind of gave up on him. That resulted in Felix almost falling on the ground, somehow managing to pick himself up before touching the ground with the rest of his body. Unluckily for him though, Chan had seen it all, amplifying the embarrassment the younger was feeling at that moment.
"Are you ok?" asked Chan as he came next to him after he had locked the car.
The younger didn't answer.
"Felix?"
"I'm fine" he told the older in the smallest voice, trying to walk faster to his house.
Although his legs were weak, Felix tried walking normally, as if he wasn't feeling anything at all. To Chan, who was walking behind the younger, he could see something was wrong. Yet, he couldn't do much about it: he knew that Felix wouldn't really accept it. After walking for a bit, Felix saw himself in front of the door and put his hands in the pocket of his pants, instinctively looking for his keys. Chan stared at him, and questions started to rise when his hands stopped abruptly. The younger turned towards him with a stone face.
"Uh... my keys were in my coat" explained the younger, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly.
Chan let out a sigh and started walking away. Realizing that there wasn't another pair of footsteps behind him, he stopped in his tracks. "You're coming with me" stated Chan.
Felix shook his head.
"Felix" he added in a warningly tone as stepped closer to Felix.
Once he was standing in front of him, Felix confidently straightened his posture and looked him in the eyes while shaking his eyes. in his head, he knew he'd regret it, but nothing was stopping him form acting like that. Chan didn't break eye contact as he took off his jacket and gave it to Felix, who was in just a hoodie. He then took his phone, unlocked it with the code and put it in the younger's hand. The cold hands touched the colder ones, resulting in Felix taking in a small breath that went unnoticed by Chan.
"Call someone who might have a key," he paused in order to put the jacket more on Felix, "I'll be waiting with you."
