Bangchan was silently watching people chat with those around them, sparing everyone surrounding them a careful look. The younger males were talking to Wooyoung and San casually, exchanging information on the event. Besides it being one of Jackson's famous parties, there wasn't anything that they knew in particular, which led to a lot of confusion among those invited.
Still, with everything going on, Wooyoung managed to change the subject quite fast, one of his infamous social skills. The male was moving his hand sin the air in a crazy manner, San adoring him from the side with such admiration that it made even the eldest's heart melt. Felix kicked it off with Wooyoung surprisingly fast: Chan was surprised to hear the male shamelessly ask Felix not one, but twice if he was interested in joining his group. As if the tightening grip on his waist wasn't enough of an answer, Felix declined politely with a shy smile. Wooyoung asked him once again when more of his friends came over, but the blonde didn't change his answer.
Jeongin laughed at Wooyoung, sensing Hyunjin rolling his eyes. "That's quite bold" Jeongin added, glancing at Chan.
The eldest nodded.
"You're shameless" San whined, pouting his lisp slightly.
Hongjoong clicked his tongue. "It looks like I need to lecture you again" he sighed.
Wooyoung completely ignored them, turning to talk to Chan. The male already knew what was going to be asked, so he just gazed back at him. He brough the glass of alcohol closer to his mouth, sipping while listening to the question.
"Where's Changbinnie?"
Chan felt Hyunjin's curious eyes on him, knowing that he'd want to know what the elder was going to make up. So, with that mind, he just watched him casually explaining that Changbin had to deal with some papers and that his love for the gym was keeping him way too occupied to come to such a social event in the "busy" social life of a mafia group. At the answer, Wooyoung started to whine quietly, San patting his shoulder gently.
Felix smiled at the view, finding the two absolutely adorable. Despite him being completely clueless about their relationship, he couldn't help but let his heart warm up. Chan didn't notice Felix's smile, his face not letting any emotion be displayed. Hyunjin noticed Chans' eyes trailing along the ballroom while Jeongin and Felix started telling Wooyoung about something.
"What did you see?" asked Hyunjin the eldest in a whisper, closing the distance between them.
Chan clicked his tongue. "Our target."
Hyunjin tried to shift his gaze, but Chan stopped him. "Don't" he ordered sternly. "Let Seungmin do his part."
The taller male let out a small breath, relaxing his posture slightly. He was losing his patience and that wasn't ideal in that scenario. A hot headed Hyunjin was a force of nature, something that shouldn't be messed with; Chan was very well aware of that, it being one of the reasons why he was trying to keep the taller calmer.
"Who's he with?" asked Hyunjin, a hand snaking around Jeongin's waist.
He couldn't really explain why he did it, but it didn't matter in that moment: Hyunjin felt like Jeongin could be taken away from him anytime. Eyes slightly darkened and mind working on ways to neutralize any possible threat, Hyunjin chose to glance at Jeongin, who had turned to look at him. His dark orbs were fixing him in his place. He knew that despite his height, Hyunjin was an easy pray for Jeongin... and, very conveniently, the youngest knew that vey well.
Jeongin put his hand on Hyunjin's chest, keeping up the "date" deception. "What's wrong?" he asked.
Chan was watching from the side lines. One could see from a mile away that Jeongin was using his puppy eyes on the taller, his soft voice reducing the chances of getting a "no" from Hyunjin.
