Hyunjin and Changbin were talking to each other in front of the building, the shorter playing with the key. It was a bit cold, but it wasn't as bad as it was a few days ago. The discussion was cut short when Changbin's phone vibrated in his pocket, earring a curious glance from Hyunjin.
"It's Chan" he announces, still reading and texting at the same time. "He's staying, apparently" explained Changbin for the other male, letting out a sigh.
"Why?"
The shorter shrugged. "Is there anyone even left?"
Engulfed in silence, the two males start thinking it through. Changbin took out and Seungmin who left a bit earlier to pick up a package that was supposed to arrive that day. Hyunjin told Changbin that the youngest left right after the meeting. Who's left besides Chan? Then it hit the older: the one who was barely seen all day long might still be there. A certain blonde male popped in Changbin's mind, making him wonder why he had been acting like this way. Usually, Felix would visit Seungmin every morning, even bringing him a coffee every once in a while. And yet, for some reason, he didn't do that. "It's Felix" answered Changbin.
Hyunjin let out a sigh and looked at his feet, feeling a bit guilty. It was clear to him what was the reason why the blonde male was left behind. Changbin noticed his reaction and found it weird, so he decided to question his boss on it. "What's wrong?" he asked without hesitation, watching as Hyunjin's eyes scanned over his face.
"I asked Felix to work on some pistols for me" he explained shortly, Changbin getting the idea soon.
The shorter male nodded and started walking towards his car. "I see" he mumbled under his breath. "Wait, I'll drive you" he added as soon as Hyunjin started stepping away from him. the taler thanked him with a nod.
Hyunjin went in the back of the car, pulling out his phone to text Jeongin. Changbin was turning on the engine, adjusting the windows and checking them. He soon left the parking spot, going on the main street. The rays of sun were mostly gone, but a few stray ones seemed to come in every once in a while, and illuminate Hyunjin's face, resulting in Changbin thinking about the younger's visuals. "Hyunjin, you've been getting more and more handsome. You're definitely taking after me, huh?" joked Changbin shamelessly, smirking to himself.
The taller was surprised by his random comment, to which he reacted with a surprised glance. Changbin saw it in the mirror and laughed. Deciding to get back at Changbin, Hyunjin let out a sigh with the following comment: "With your height, not so sure." Hyunjin chuckled as Changbin let out a loud and specific yoh.
"You should be able to find someone quickly for the meeting" explained Changbin as he took a turn right, taking the main streets and avoiding the shortcuts.
"I'm not going with anyone from outside" said Hyunjin without any worry.
"Then..." Changbin trailed off even more confused. "Wait, you're going with Yoon?!"
Hyunjin nodded, not getting why Changbin was so shocked. "Yeah, I told him I won't bother showing up if he's not there."
Changbin's eyes were big. "Ok, wasn't expecting that."
"Gotta thank Chan for it" added Hyunjin. "He came up with the idea."
The two fell into a comfortable silence, Hyunjin watching the passing cars. He wondered sometimes how it would have been if he didn't end up choosing this. He doesn't regret it, and he wouldn't change anything even if he could, but sometimes he couldn't help but wonder. Where would I work at? Would I be at university? With these questions, he started an avalanche that brought even more questions about a certain male with black hair that made his heart flutter with his cuteness. What would he study in university? He wondered, reminiscent of the discussions he had with Jeongin before the younger explained that he was a part of the mafia.
