I jolt up from the uncomfortable hospital bed, looking around. There are lots of people surrounding me, my family members, friends, and nurses.
"She's awake!" my mother cheers, and many people rush into the room I am in.
"Brooke! Oh my god!" someone yells from the crowd, as more people come in, smiles spread across their faces, as well as some with tears.
"Lord!" someone cries.
"Brookie!" my little sister shouts, tears forming in her eyes.
"You're awake!" my older brother smiles at me.
"Good afternoon. What is your name?" the nurse interrupts.
I take a moment, not trusting my voice. "Brooke. Brooke Williams?" I answer her, having it sound more like a question.
"Good job!" she smiles, treating me like a pre-schooler.
"Do you know why you're here?" she asks.
"Um...no." I state bluntly.
"Well..." the nurse sighs.
"Well..." my mother encourages the nurse to proceed in what she was saying.
"Let me ask her a few more questions before I decide." she states.
A few more nurses walk into the room, along with three doctors.
"Do you remember what was happening before you got here?" she asks me.
"No." I answer.
"Okay...do you recognize any of these people?" she asks, motioning around the room.
"Yes." I tell her.
"Can you tell me who's who?" she adds.
"That's my mom, with the scarf. That's my little sister in the purple dress. That is my older brother, with the jersey. That's my dad, in the suit." I said, continuing on with who my friends were, ect.
"Good. That is great to hear that you remember who everyone is here." the nurse smiles.
"How did I get here?" I blurt.
"We will get into all of that later, for now, the doctors will write up their report, and you can chat with your family. Shout if you need anything, or press that button to your left." she replies, before stepping out of the room, with all of the doctors and nurses.
"Brooke!" my mother gushed, as she happily rushed over to me.
"Hello mom!" I smile at her.
"All of us have been worried sick." she dramatically states.
"I'm fine. I'm fine." I laugh, laying back down.
"Do you need to rest?" she asks me.
"Mom, I think she has rested enough." my older brother, Trent, jokes.
"Don't remind me." my mother says, patting under her eyes.
"Anyways, how you doin' Brooke?" Trent smiles at me.
"I'm pretty well, how about yourself." I grin at him.
"I wanna talk now!" my little sister, Ava, groans.
"Okay. Okay." Trent laughs, putting his hands up like Ava was a police officer.
"Thank you, good sir." Ava smirks, as she adjusts her dress.
"Hello, Ava." I greet her.
"Hi Brookie! I missed you so much!" she grins.
"I've been here the whole time." I tell her.
"Yeah, but you weren't alive." Ava frowns.
"She was alive, Ava! She was just sleeping." Trent shouts.
"Shush!" my mom shouts back at Trent. "Let Ava get her words out." she finishes.
"Why am I always the bad guy?" Trent says, shaking his head. I laugh to myself and look at Ava.
"Proceed." my mother tells her.
"Well, you were asleep. So I missed you being awake. I was sad at night, alone..." Ava says, as she plays with her light brown, tangled hair.
"It's all good now." I whisper to her, looking over at the crowd of people, just standing there, watching all of this happen.
"Dad." I smile. He looks up instantly, from the corner of the room, and walks over to me.
"Hey precious. You alright?" he asks me.
"I'm good." I laugh. "Just physically tired." I mumble. "But my mind is still in full force." I smile, not wanting to sound weak.
"That's my girl." he laughs, starting to fiddle with his watch, as if not knowing what to do or say.
"So, how is everybody?" I giggle, looking over all of the smiling faces, trying to break the awkwardness. They all rush over to me and bombard me with "Are you okay"s, "I missed you"s, and "I love you"s. I just smile and laugh with them.
Hello my loves. This is my new story. I actually had two Harry fics, but I just recently deleted them, because I lost inspiration. Though I really feel passionate about this one, because I have been looking into comas, lately. Anyways, I really hope you enjoy this. Don't forget to vote, comment, and recommend this to your friends. Bye!
