"This game is so stupid." I mutter, as I tap the yellow bird on my screen.

"Then why did you download it?" Stella asks.

"I don't even know. This game is stupid. I'm stupid." I groan, watching as the bird falls, making my screen show a play again button.

"Delete it." Kaycee suggests.

"Fine." I say, as I double tap my home button, and slide the app up, only to find the app again, and hold it until all of the apps start to vibrate. I find the little x at the upper right hand corner of the app, and click it, deleting the app from my phone. "Done." I smile.

"Good for you." Stella says, rolling her eyes.

"Is it already eleven?" Kaycee says, after moments of silence.

"Yeah." I reply, nonchalantly.

Kaycee eyes me and Stella, making us look up from our phones. She raises her eyebrows up and down, creating faces of confusion on me and Stella's faces.

"Wanna sleepover, or something?" Stella asks, making Kaycee nod eagerly.

"Sure." I reply, making Kaycee smile.

"Yes!" Kaycee says, her facial expression bright.

"Okay, cool." Stella says.

"Let me tell my parents." I say, as I look for my mom's number in my contacts. When I find it, I click the call button.

I wait awhile, hearing the rings of the phone calling, and right before I hang up, she answers.

"Sorry, sweetie. My phone was upstairs." she tells me.

"It's fine." I grin.

"So, what do you need. Should we pick you up? Do you need a ride?" she asks me.

"Um, actually. I was wondering if I could sleepover at Stella's today with Kaycee. May I?" I ask her.

"Um, sure. As long as her parents are fine with it. Should we bring you your bag?" she then asks me.

"Actually, could you?" I smile.

"Yeah. No problem honey. Just tell me what you need."

I go on and on, filling my mom in on what she is going to bring me, and soon, I thank her, and hang up.

"What did your mom say?" Stella asks me.

"She said yes. Why do you think I was listing my things?" I laugh. "But she is bringing me my bag." I tell her. Stella nods, and Kaycee grins.

"My mom just texted me yes if I wash the dishes when I get home." she says. "So Stella, I'm gonna have to borrow some stuff."

"Make yourself at home." Stella tells her.

About fifteen minutes later, my mom arrives, dropping off my clothes, and I thank her, wishing her a goodnight.

"Late night dinner anybody? My parents won't mind. They are out tonight anyways." Stella grins.

"Sure. Um...what should we make?" Kaycee asks.

"How about.....hush puppies?" I suggest, making Stella and Kaycee nod.

"I think we have the ingredients. Kaycee look up the directions, Brooke, go get the bowls." Stella instructs us, as we all head into the kitchen.

"Demanding. I like it." Kaycee sexually jokes and I cringe.

After an hour and a half of getting the ingredients together, and shifting everything into place, we put the soon to be hush puppies into the pre-heated oven for an hour.

We all sit on Stella's couch and watch television until the oven starts beeping, signaling that our food is ready.

I get up and walk over to the oven, tuning it off, opening it, and making sure to put on a mitten before I grab the flat pan and lay it on the stove.

"Give it ten minutes to cool." I advise Stella and Kaycee, as they get up to watch the hush puppies, rather than the t.v.

Once the food cools, we all gather around the table, munching on our breaded delicacies.

Not even two minutes later, someone calls Kaycee.

"Greetings." she answers, like an idiot as she takes a bite from her food.

I listen, trying to make out what the person on the other line is saying.

"Um. Oh God. Okay. We'll be there soon." Kaycee says, before hanging up.

"Who was that?" Stella asks.

"Harry. He said Michael just got in a fight and they need a ride home, because all of them have been drinking." she tells us.

"But isn't Michael part of that fraternity?" I ask.

"Would you wanna stay at a party overnight?" Stella asks me, and I shake my head. Kaycee gets up, and heads over to the door.

"We need to go now."
