Chapter 10

As I investigated the lab, I saw that there were flipped over desks and tables. However what stood out to me was this one table that wasn't flipped over. It had four vials with tape and text on them and on a small wooden rack, and next to it an old voice recorder with several tapes next to it, other than the one in it. I went over to the vials first, and saw that each one said the name of each of the kaiju the pilot said was in that creature. I guess this is where he was made. I turned my attention to the voice recorder, and saw that the other tapes were labeled 1-8. I saw that the tape in the voice recorder was unlabeled, so I assumed that was tape 9. I decided to listen to the tapes, since it might have something useful for me and Unit Eleven. I took out the last tape, and replaced it with tape one. I then pressed the play button, and the tape started saying, "This is log one. Morigon has decided to put me in charge of the creation and development of Project BlueWing. So far we have collected enough DNA samples of Titanus Mosoura, Titanus Gojira, Titanus Rodan, and Monster Zero. We are somehow already getting outlines of his appearance based on how we carefully merge the DNA's, and hopefully nothing explodes or goes wrong with this." and the tape clicked, showing that it was done. I took the second tape, started it, and it continued, "Log 2. We managed to successfully merge the DNA of the titans, and genetically engineer it to appear a certain way and such. We have made it into its pre-development phase, and our specialists say that it will become a true living being in just days." click. "Log 3. He has successfully survived a few days now. Some of us were expecting him not to live for whatever reason, but so far they've been proven wrong. Currently he is rather docile, but a bit curious in a playful-like way. He seems to also view us like parents or something like that, so at least we now have a better chance of making sure this doesn't go haywire. He's also gone through some small growth spurts in the past few days, which I assume is happening because we designed him to have hypergrowth." "Log 4. This docile trait presumably from Titanus Mosura is starting to fade, and he is showing a bit more aggression to some people. He is also becoming more intelligent, and even seems to understand what some of us are saying. Maybe this hyperintegilience concept wasn't as great as it sounded." "Log 5. He is now just a bit over 5'5, and showing more hostility to everyone. Today one of our scientists had to be taken to med bay because he got a rather deep bite mark on his arm. I think his Monster Zero traits are becoming dominant over the others. I hope this doesn't continue." "Log 6. He keeps staring at us with blank eyes, especially me. I think he's planning an escape. I'm not too sure I'm not going to get officials yet. I think I can fix this myself. Maybe if I try to put more Titanus Mosoura DNA in him he'll become docile and such." "Log 7. It failed. His hide was too thick and hard for the syringes or anything. He also tried to look like it worked, but we knew he was just faking. He knows what's happening. He's too intelligent.." "Log 8. Last night, he made an escape and came to the living quarters. He almost attacked us, however someone woke up and saw what was happening, and sounded the alarm. He's been relocated to a stronger containment on the other side of the facility. I'm going to call officials and talk with them about the incident. I think this experiment for a superweapon has gone far enough, and has to be terminated to keep the world safe." click. I held the final log in my hand, and thought about what I just heard. Clearly his termination request did not go through, so what happened to let this facility go into ruin? I hesitantly put the final tape in it, and pressed play. "This is my final log, and this is for the people who come to retrieve the experiment and for them alone. The creature got out while I was making the referral, and quickly started to kill everyone he could see. I saw this coming. His Monster Zero trait overpowered him mentaly in such a way where he is more in control than Project Bluewing himself. I only know two things that could possibly stop him, and that is either destroying the whole facility with explosives or using the emergency weapon in the armory. Listen, if you hear this you need to kill this thing before the 16th of December. If this is not done then Project BlueWing will hit a major growth spurt which in only two weeks will let it get to kaiju size. I'm running out of time now, so good luck to whoever hears this.There was the sound of a door collapsing before the tape clicked. Maybe that's why the door is destroyed. I was left sitting there, wondering what my next move would be.
