The school day was coming to a close, friends colliding in warm embraces. Next week was Spring Break, and the children of Hawkins High couldn't be any happier to get out of that damned school. Eddie included. He was grinning ear to ear, that classic Munson smile nearly plastered to his lips. Reaching his locker, he spun the code in and opened the cream coloured door. Humming to himself, his eyes scanned for his lunch box. Scanning upwards, he saw the spray painted treasure chest on the shelf. "Please be in here." He whispered, opening the lid as a bag with clumps of greenery sat in a clear plastic baggie, "thank gods." A satisfied sigh left his lips.

He would have snuck a clump in his pocket, if it weren't for a faint female voice breaking his concentration. Pulling the locker door closed a bit he was greeted by sapphire eyes and a shy smile, "Chrissy?" He questioned her, "and to what pleasure do I owe the queen of Hawkins High?" He smirked, Chrissy's smile becoming a bit more relaxed as she listened.

"I was...I was wondering, if you had-" she didn't know how to word it, Eddies eyebrow raising inquisitively as he started to piece it together.

"Drugs?" He whispered, making sure it was only audible to her...for her sake. Chrissy nodded hesitantly, "meet me at the picnic table behind the football field." He shot a look around the hall, "in like...15. I'll meet you there. Can't have a queen walk around with a freak right?" He half joked, earning a small giggle from the cheerleader before him.

It didn't take long for her to walk away, Eddie watching as she left through the glass doors at the end of the hall. Grabbing the lunch box, he scanned for any other things he wanted to bring back with him over the week. Not finding anything of interest, he closed the door and gave the lock a spin before heading off towards the picnic table.

Chrissy had walked through the threshold and into the woods behind the school, fidgeting with the end of her sleeves as she carefully stepped over crackling leaves and branches that carpeted the ground. Eddie soon following behind and not really giving a shit as to where he stepped. As the young woman stepped further in, her breathing picked up with every step.

What sounded to her like a grandfather clock chiming, made her jump out of her skin. "Eddie!?" She called out, receiving no answer. Turning on her heel, she saw the clock embedded into the tree beside the picnic table. The clock chimed again, and again. She backed away, eyes welling up with fearful tears as she whispered the word "no" under her breath. Chiming one final time, the clock face shattered as tiny arachnid forms scattered over the tree and down towards the ground beneath her feet.

Backing away in a panic, she ran back first into Eddie who stumbled on his feet, "woah! Sorry...didn't mean to scare you" she panted, catching her breath as reality returned to her. Eyes wide like saucers, staring back into Eddies concerned ones, "you okay?" He asked, genuinely worried as he went to reach a hand out to comfort her. She stepped back, half out of fear but still wondering what he'd do if he did touch her.

A couple minutes passed, Chrissy taking a seat on the almost rotting wooden seat of the table. Eddie eyed her suspiciously, still faintly worried about her and if she was okay. Every sound made her jump, making Eddie look around to check for the mob that is the Hawkins High basketball team. "I promise. No one will find us out here. No one really knows of this spot unless your dealing" he smirked, comfortably laughing at the end. "So...here's how this works. Uh, cash only. And for obvious reasons..." He sighed, "no receipts."

Chrissy nodded, understanding the two big rules of drug dealing. "I'll give you..." He pulled out the bag he had eyed earlier, "half ounce for...20, whaddaya say?" He asked her, bag flailing around in his fingers.

"Do you ever feel, like you're losing your mind?" She asked, seemingly out of nowhere.

Eddie looked her up and down, questioning whether they should even be doing this. "Uh...you know, just..." He started, deciding to out on the old Munson charm, "...on a daily basis" he smiled, which made Chrissy relax a little into the seat of the table. He felt the tension still, his mind-siren going off as he put the bag back in the box, "look, we don't have to do this. Just...say the word and I'll walk away and forget this ever happened" he sighed, Chrissy looking up from her hands and stuttering out a no.
