Eddie sped off, anxiety and paranoia kicking in immediately as he turned onto a familiar street. "Please...please say the key didn't move..." He whispered to himself, dropping his van off close by but not in the driveway. Eddie carefully walked to the nearly abandoned cabin in the woods, peering in the windows and around the deck as he looked at a black stone and smiled. "Please..." Walking over, he picked up the stone and twisted it open. A golden key dropping out of it, "...oh shit-"
Leaning down, he grabbed the key and unlocked the door. He knew the owner hadn't been home in a while, he was betting on it in fact. Scanning the place, he searched for any squatters and was relieved to find none in sight. Part of him was kinda hoping a squatter was there so he could eat. He was getting quite hungry. Deciding to use these last few hours of freedom to get food, he locked the door to the home and ran back to his van. The kind of hunger he had right now wasn't inhuman, he was craving a burger. A greasy burger that no home cooked one could compare to.
Pulling through the drive thru of a fast food place, he ordered and paid all within ten minutes. "I need to get back..." He sped back to his getaway place, repeating his steps as he dropped the van off a block or something away and ran the rest so no one could track him. He hadn't talked to anyone since Chrissy snapped in front of him. Flashes of imagery waved his mind as he winced. "Chrissy..." He didn't know what to do. He was lost. Finally, he reached the door, unlocking it as he set his food down on the table and began shovelling it in. He made me through about a burger and a half before thirst hit, genuine thirst. "Where did he keep his beers again?" Eddie spoke under his breath, opening cabinet after cabinet until he found an unopened six pack.
Minutes felt like hours, hours felt like centuries. "Wonder if his tv works..." He walked over, pushing the power button as the tv flashed to life. Eddie smiled, thankful that he had some form of distraction from whatever the fuck he just witnessed. His eyes started getting heavy, vision began to blur with each blink as he slowly bur surely fell asleep on the couch. After what felt like a few minutes to him, he opened his eyes and was greeted by the blinding light of the sun. "Shit-" he sighed, the tv still playing as a newscaster spoke.
"Good morning Hawkins. Just last night a young girl was found dead in a trailer on the outskirts of town. At this time, we have no suspects to the case of this crime. From eyewitnessws we only know that a one Eddie Munson left his trailer quite quickly last night. Stay tuned for more information"
Eddie turned the tv off quickly, "shit shit shit shit..." Paranoia set in again, eyes going wide with panic as he slowly walked to a window to see if anyone was around. The newscasters words echoed in his mind, making him tense up at every sound that happened around him. He was wanted for murder, well...suspected of murder. He didnt kill anyone. He could never kill anyone, unless it was D&D...but that's a different story. Eddie no longer found his dealers place reliable. He eyed around, window hopping while his eyes frantically looked for refuge. "The boat house-" Eddie smiled, a burst of air leaving his lungs that he didn't know he was holding in, "-I forgot about the boat house!"
Running back to the living area, he grabbed some beer bottles and whatever food he left out overnight and ran to the boat house. Eddie frantically opened the door and shut it behind him, setting his stuff down on an empty work table. Questions began to flood in, what if someone found him? What would he do? How would he defend himself without using his fangs? He needed a weapon. Eyes looking around, he scanned for anything sharp. "Really Lipton? Nothing." He sighed, eyes glancing over at the beer bottles. A light went off in his head as he popped the top off and began chugging the drink. It didn't take long for the drink to come to its delicious end. "Here goes nothing-" he smiled faintly, clashing the bottle against the table leg. The shatter echoed around him, as he looked at the bottle with a wide smile. "It worked!"
