Chapter Seven | Bridge Between Worlds

The Upside Down group grabbed the rusty bikes and set off, following Eddie to his trailer. The group decided it was best to give the vampire the flashlight. The ride was long, giving the humans of the group tine to thoroughly get creeped out by the Upside Down. Meanwhile, Eddie was calm. Ever since they entered the Upside Down, he hadn't felt hungry or the urge to bite everyone's throats. Hell, he felt almost human.

"Hey guys..." Eddie started, trying to break the awkward silence, "...I promised transparency, so I just wanted to let you guys know that this place makes me feel like I'm human again." He slowed his speed down, making sure they could all hear him. "No idea what that means, but I thought you guys deserved to know what was going on in my very much scrambled brain."

"We appreciate it Eds, believe me." Robin smiled.

Eddie smiled back at her, eyes still shining a crimson hue as he soon focused back on the direction they were going in

The Right Side Up group was doing the same, following Dustin as they rode their bikes towards Eddies trailer. "Hey Dustin? How much farther away is his trailer?" Lucas asked, Erica seconding his question.

"We aren't far, Munson lives near mine" Max smiled, pedalling a bit quicker to meet Dustin.

"I always forget you guys are neighbours" Dustin smiled, earning a smile in return as the boy pointed in front of him, "we're almost there!!"

"Castle of Munson, dead ahead!" Eddie smirked, pedalling a bit faster.

"Hey! Munson!! Slow down man!" Steve yelled, pedalling faster to meet up with the metalhead. Steve never got embarrassed at his physical abilities, but right now...he was embarrassed that Eddie was pedalling faster than him.

"Sorry, man! No can do" Eddie cackled, fangs out and about as he drifted into the trailer park smoothly. Three scuffs followed behind him as the others trickled in, slowing down after Eddie came to a halt in front of his trailer. Waiting for the others to stop and get off the bikes, he went in and tried to tidy up as much as possible before they came in.

Nancy opened the door first, noticing that Eddies hands were full of trash as she rolled her eyes, "you really think we care about how trashed your trailer looks? Especially in this place?"

"Hey! I may be a literal monster but I have some decency. I didn't wanna leave a bad first impression" Eddie sighed, tossing the trash in a bin by the fridge. It didnt take long for Steve and Robin to walk in, eyes scanning around the very well loved trailer.

The kids pulled up to the trailer, Dustin finding the spare key under the mailbox lid and unlocking the door for them to get in. Max followed Dustin inside, chuckling at the surprising lack of trash laying around, "Wayne must've cleaned up before he left. It's never been this clean"

"Hush Red!" The kids turned their heads up towards the ceiling, seeing not only the gate but also the older group

"You can't tell me I'm wrong, Munson!" Max yelled up at him, her playful expression soon replaced with awe as she took the gate in.

Eddie went to lick his lips out of habit and pricked his tongue on a fang, panicking as he retracted them quickly as he saw Erica standing next to Lucas. "Now...how the hell do we get out of here? The gate is up there, not down here" Eddie thought out loud, the kids also wondering how they were gonna get the older group out.

"So uh..." Eddie started, speaking everyones minds as he looked at everyone with confused eyes, "...anyone got any ideas?" Steve looked like he was thinking, but he was drawing blanks. Nancy and Robin doing the same. Thankfully, Dustin had a decent idea as he ran to grab as many sheets as possible. "Henderson! What are you doing!?" Eddie yelled through the gate, earning only shrugs from Lucas, Erica and Max.
