"Are you sure it's a good idea for us to attend a party where Azarel is also invited?" Saffron asked while we were doing our makeup.

"It's for Danial's celebration, Saff. He invited us, we said yes, and it would be rude not to show up." agad na puna ni Mags habang kinukulot ang dulo ng buhok niya.

Tumango-tango naman ako bilang pagsang-ayon. "True. Besides, it's been a month since Azarel and I broke up, and I can't avoid him forever. Kung andoon man siya, we'll just pretend we don't know each other."

Danial just finished his residency in Internal Medicine. Last week, he went here to formally invite us to his celebration party. I don't know why, but for some reason, we became friends. Noong graduation din kasi nina Mags at Clai, naroon din silang magkakaibigan.

Well, except, of course, for Azarel.

Pero to tell you honestly, after I talked to his mother, wala na ulit kaming narinig na balita mula sa kanila, kahit pa kay Tito Lauren. I also decided not to file a case against him because, for what? Azarel would just hate me more if I did that.

Sinimulan ko na ring umusad non, kahit mabagal, kahit minsan bumabalik pa rin ako sa umpisa... o dumarating pa rin ako sa puntong gusto ko na lang magmakaawa para tanggapin niya ulit ako.

But maybe, only time can tell if you've truly moved on.

From my perspective, moving on doesn't necessarily mean you forget your feelings. It's about accepting the fact that you two can't be together anymore.

The love I have for Azarel is still there. But the hope that we could still work out is gone.

Kasi kahit andon pa ang pagmamahal, sira naman na ang tiwala. What's the point of that, right? It won't work anymore. Baka maglokohan na lang kaming dalawa non... kasi kada may gagawin ako, lalabas, o magpaparty, siguradong pagduduhan niya lang ang bawat kilos ko. And I can't settle for that. Pahihirapan ko lang ang sarili ko 'pag nagkataon.

"Basta mods, 'pag pakiramdam mong hindi mo na kaya... alis na tayo ha?" si Mags ulit.

Ngumiti ako. "Oo naman,"

"Tang ina ka 'pag naman nagback to zero ka sa pagmo-move on mo 'pag nagkita kayo, ako mismo mangangalbo ng pekpek mo," I saw Claiborn give me a threatening look, and her lips were pressed into a thin line.

Natawa ako sa reaction niya. Well, I couldn't blame them if they doubted me. After kasi naming puntahan si Azarel sa condo niya, ngayon pa lang niyan ulit kami magkikita kung dadalo man siya. But I told you, I don't care anymore.

I still love him at this point.

But that doesn't change the fact that I'm still very disappointed in him.

Aaminin ko, medyo naging kabado ako pagkarating namin sa clubhouse kung saan gaganapin ang celebration party ni Danial. There were probably a lot of guests because the parking lot was almost full when we got there.

Nakasuot ako ng navy blue na halter dress. Hapit na hapit iyon sa akin kaya kitang-kita ang kurba ng katawan ko. I wore my huggie earrings and a riviere necklace to match my outfit. My hair was also in a neat low bun. At least, kung makakaharap ko man si Azarel ngayong gabi, maganda at elegante ako sa paningin niya.

I've been with him for months. Of course, I know well kung ano 'yong mukha na makakapagpatigas ng alaga niya.

The party had already started when we entered the club. Ang sigaw ng mga tao at ingay ng music ang bumungad sa amin. We immediately found Danial, who was talking to one of his guests and they were sitting on a high stool. Nang makita niya kami'y agad siyang nagpa-excuse sa kanyang kausap para lapitan kami.
