Colby turns to the camera in Nate's hands. "Alright. We've gone through Isla's journal and found some things that'll help but first, we talked to Hazel and she's willing to give us a tour of this house." He looked at Sam with a grin.

"I'm more than welcome to give you guys the tour." Hazel reminds them, giving them a soft smile. Nate turned the camera to Sam who didn't wait any longer to give Hazel the floor. "Okay, so you've seen the living room, the kitchen, and the small hallway to the backdoor. It's all pretty simple, however, it wasn't always like this."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you see the flower material on the furniture?" asked Hazel.

They nod. She points at the two-seater. "This couch right here had a red leather material underneath and," She kneels down to point at the bottom of the couch, "These marks indicate that Isla tried removing the material to get to the cushions to place the flower covers." Hazel stands up, watching their faces.

"Since the material was stubborn as all hell, Isla decided to keep it on and place the flower cover over it, stapling it as much as she could."

Nate nodded, panning the camera to Colby. "Would you say she hates the color red?"

Hazel leads them through the kitchen and down another hall that led to the stairwell and a storage door. "There isn't much red in this house to know that Isla hated the color, however, there's been some moments here that could say otherwise."

"like what?"

Hazel smiled before lifting her sleeve, showing them a scar she has lined up on her forearm. "I got this scar a couple of months after buying this house. I was wearing a red dress, nothing fancy. It was opening night and I was showing this group of people a room Isla has upstairs and just before I walked in, I felt a sharp pain run through my arm."

"What the fuck." Sam muttered.

"I checked but I didn't see anything. Normally, when you get a scar, you see a red line but there wasn't anything. But when I got home, I checked again and the scar was there, visible, burning so much to the point where I felt like my arm was on fire."

This scared the men. They've all had moments where they've been scratched or they've met people who had scratches themselves, but never had they met anyone with a battle scar. Colby took the camera from Nate as Hazel opened the storage door. "This room was just for storage. Isla kept a lot of stuff here, pictures, gifts, and childhood stuff. She was very organized but it came down to the very end that her stuff was scattered everywhere. I don't know how or what happened."

Colby walked through the door, turning around fully to capture every corner of this room.

"It's sweet to keep childhood memories," Nate turns to Hazel. "What kind of stuff did she keep?"

Hazel shrugged. "The usual kind of stuff any kind of person would normally keep. Teddy bears, clothes, crafts, anything they remember or have had by their side growing up. But Isla kept a lot of papers. Most of them being letters."

"Does the letters say who it's from or who it's for?" Sam asked, leaning against the wall in curiosity.

"It's hard to say. The letters didn't come in envelopes. It was folded but many of them were burnt. They're actually in the upstairs display wall, you'll see it when I take you there but first I want to take you to the garden." Hazel walked out of the hall and into the kitchen and down the small hall as they all followed her. Colby holding the camera to catch Nate's and Sam's reactions once Hazel had opened the backdoor. It was quiet but you could hear the crickets. It had a little breeze to the night but what scared the three of them was the full moon shining above them. A full moon on an investigation as paranormal as this couldn't get any worst... or so they thought.

The backyard was small. Blocked off from the public with brown wooden fence high enough to keep children and dogs from jumping over it. In the very back corner was a tree with a tire tied around the branch, acting as a swing. Did Isla have a child? As Sam knew, Colby had questions piling up in his mind. Hazel had walked a little further till she stopped by an archway right before them. Though, the backyard wasn't as big, that didn't stop Isla from having the dream backyard she's always wanted (despite it being against her mother's wishes).

Nate looked up, admiring the red and white roses that twirled around the holes of the archway, hugging it tightly as its thorns scratched the paint off of the base. "That's an archway." He muttered, unaware that Sam and Colby had heard him. Although, they didn't make a remark, they still let out a low giggle.

They walked through the archway, meeting a small garden just a second later. There was a white picket fence surrounding the dirt, paint chipping but the plants and flowers that were planted, seemed as though they're surviving. "Do you care for this garden?" asked Nate. Colby stepped away from the group, showing the camera how alive the plants were.

"I do. I try to keep up with it but I don't normally stop by here that often. Aside from buying the Flower House, I do tend to travel here and there for work so I usually have my boyfriend stop by to water them."

Sam nods. "Has your boyfriend experienced anything?"

This stumped Hazel. Even though Hazel and her boyfriend were on great terms and their relationship was as healthy as ever, her boyfriend never really talks about paranormal activity or experiences he might've had. "There goes a question I don't have an answer for." Hazel responds, laughing. "He did tell me that he doesn't really believe in this kind of stuff so I try not to bother him with anything relating to it."

"Understandable. Should we head back in and see Isla's room?" Colby asked, walking up behind Nate. Hazel nods and leads them back into the house. Up the stairs and down the creepy, dark hallway, Hazel stops in front of a room. She opened the door, introducing the three to something Hazel considered, Isla's safe place, other than her unnamed lover she's mentioned in her journal. Stepping into the room, it suddenly felt warm. The temperature dropped. They paid no mind to the sudden drop as they've all scanned the room.

It was painted salmon pink with a queen size bed on one side, touching the middle wall with two dressers on one side. There was a makeup vanity on the other side of the room, next to a desk that had no chair. It was a bit run down but can you really expect someone to keep track of what needs fixing when they travel as much as Hazel does?

"Shall we begin?"

Author's note:

Gosh, I didn't realize how long this chapter was. I honestly wasn't planning on making it this long but I also didn't want to rush the chapter or rush the book. I didn't want to make a part two of the house tour and Isla's house is smaller than what I thought so it makes sense to just write it out here. I hope you enjoy this chapter, despite how long it is.
