"What did you find?" Colby asked. Nate and Hazel were by the storage door. "I found a shitload of papers and pictures of some old lady who I suspect is a relative of Isla's," Nate responded.

He pulls out a box piled high with yellow, white, and mint green papers. "What is all this?"

Hazel grabbed a handful of papers from the top and looked through them. "It looks like papers and some that look like pictures of a woman."

Hazel creased her eyebrows, "Is it Isla?"

There were pictures of a girl who sat at a bench with a book in her hands, smiling at what she was reading and some pictures of an older woman who posed for the camera. Nate studied the photos and the look on his face determined that he was onto something. "Hey, did Isla mention anything about how her mother looked?"

Sam quickly picked up Isla's journal and flipped through the pages. "Why do you asked?" Hazel questioned, moving over to Colby's side. "This might be far of a fetch but I think this is Isla's mother."

Colby took a deep breath, as if Nate's suggestion took a truck to him. Sam stopped flipping and reads a page he found, speaking loudly.

"She said her mother had long brown hair that reached to the middle of her back and she was a skinny woman with green eyes. She liked to dress in long coats and wore dresses so often that she's never wore classy pants."

"Then this is definitely Isla's mother." Hazel was determined that they finally found pictures, but they needed one of their equipment to finalize their conclusions. Of course, it wasn't long before the emf meter went off, claiming that what they were discussing was true.

"Wait, did we just figure out her mom?" asked Nate, still stunned at what he just witnessed. "I think so, but as we've all experienced before, it could just be a spirit messing with us so we need to do further investigation to ensure this is Isla's mother." Colby states.

As every other investigation, Sam and Colby along with their friends have come in contact with spirits who pretend to be the ones they want to talk to, therefore hurting them at the end. So, they always made sure to gather enough evidence to pinpoint exactly who they're talking to.

Tip: always ask, "who are we talking to?" as the truth will eventually come out.

"Let's use the spirit box to ask some questions." Nate suggested, turning to face Sam. "Have your camera ready when we do."

During the spirit box session, Colby couldn't help but feel odd. Like he felt a sudden wave of nausea and had to hold himself up at the beginning of the session. He's only felt this way a few times but it was never this serious, but today, he felt out of it. As if his soul he was being drained and he completely lost sight of where he was.

Sam noticed and asked if he was okay, to which he responded, yes. Therefore, lying to Sam but it was long forgotten about once they've gotten a noise from the spirit box, shortly after Hazel had asked if Isla's mother was here.

"Shit." Hazel muttered. In honesty, Hazel has never been in a serious investigation as she is now and she's never been this terrified for her life, even when she had bought Isla's home. A haunted place always leaves some sort of bubble of terror lingering around and nobody can see it; they can only feel it. The aftermath of such thing always requires the person to rest within 5 days.

Prior to this action, a person always feels sick to the point where they might just throw up. Unfortunately that was Colby tonight. The feeling lasted for five minutes and Colby finally felt like himself again. "Do you know who Isla Thatcher is?" Nate called out, eyeing the camera before turning his gaze.

Yes

They gasped. They always did. "Are you Isla's mom?"

5 minutes of silence went by before the spirit box went off again, confirming the question was answered. "I'm going to ask you once again, spirits. Are you Isla's mother?"

Yes

Gasping and exchanging eye contact, they were all speechless. Sam picked up the spirit box and asked another question.

"What is your name? Could you tell us?"

This time, the response sounded faint but Hazel caught onto half of it.

"I think that just said Melissa Thatcher."
