"Come on Max! I haven't got all day..." Willow grows angry after patiently waiting for her younger sister to get out of her room. She'd been in there for the past half an hour trying to find the perfect outfit for her outing at the Mall today, and although she wasn't saying it Willow knew Lucas was going to be there.

"I'm coming, one second!" Max sprints out of her room in search of her shoes as Willow continues looking down at her manicured nails, picking up her keys and walking ahead of the teenage girl to her car.

The summer had quickly arrived leaving the two girls to fend for themselves as the rest of their family busied themselves with other activities. Billy had barely been home due to his job at the pool, and although Willow felt bad thinking about it, she was extremely grateful to finally have some peace away from his usual antics.

Ever since they had moved to Hawkins from sunny side California she had felt something was amiss. It had been changing Billy and Max for the worst, yet she couldn't blame them, she could feel the same happening to herself.

Finishing applying a second coat of lip gloss she gives herself another glance in the mirror, running an eye over her face to make sure she was perfect. Satisfied with herself she looks over towards the redhead who had finally decided to slide into the passenger seat of her car.

"You look pretty," Willow remarks making Max blush, already knowing her sister had cracked why she had taken such precautions dressing up for today. " You do too." She replies although she knows Willow already knows that.

"Who is it today?" Max asks, referring to the reason Willow had agreed to drive her to the mall, knowing someone must be taking her older sister out on a date.

"I know it sounds bad, but I actually can't remember his name. I think it was something beginning with a C... Charlie?... Carter?" Willow thinks back on their brief encounter, which had mostly just been him spewing out nonsense until he had grown the balls to ask her out.

Willow had been feeling like free ice cream so she had agreed. "I'm starting to feel bad for them Willow..." Max looks at her from the side, which Willow ignores, choosing instead to turn the radio on for the rest of the ride.

Arriving at the mall, Willow takes Max aside, reminding her to be careful, especially with boys before letting her run off. Taking deep breaths Willow briefly close her eyes before going to meet up with her date, spotting him leaning against the fountain. Waving over, she begins to walk over to him, only offering a polite smile.

"Hey Willow, thank you so much for meeting me today-" Willow cuts him off having heard this same thing too many times for her liking, ready to start the day already. "So... Ice cream?" She suggests to which he furiously nods, desperate to please the gorgeous girl. Willow couldn't help but agree with Max, she did feel bad for these boys who stood no chance against her.

They make it to the outside of the brightly lit shop, entering the quiet area unaffected by the rest of the Mall's bustle. Her eyes falling upon the fallen 'King of Hawkins' who had also noticed the sight of the stunning girl.

"How about I order? I'll get you a surprise." Willow looks over at him with a slight grin as he hastily agrees hurriedly giving her money and finding a spot to sit down, amidst the families.

"Harrington, didn't know you worked here now?" She teases him, smiling while leaning over the counter on her tiptoes to catch a better glimpse of his new outfit. "Looking dapper," she remarks which causes him to grin wildly.

"Well, someone has to fund all the dates I'm going on." The boy tries to convince her with a smug smile to which she only laughs. "Always the gentleman Harrington."
