soph pov 10:00 am

right now, me and mar are skating along a pretty wide sidewalk, and we're listening to one of her playlists via bluetooth earbuds.

she took the left one, i took the right ( if that matters) and we're just cruising along while talking about various things.

" oh look where we are!"

mar says, pointing at the water that we can see. the area has a few benches and right in front of the water. "do you want to stop for a second and look?" i ask. " for sure, come on lets go!" she says, slowing down her board. I get off mine too and we walk down to the water.

it's still kinda morning, so there's a pretty sky, and the tempature is just right. it's more of a coudy day, so it's kinda bit dark but there's sun leaking through the clouds.

as we walk to the benches, i can feel her hand brushing against mine softly. is she doing this on purpose cause like???? okay we've made it to the benches. finally dear god.

i place my longboard down beside a bench, sit down on it and mar follows. " the water is really pretty isn't it?" i say to break the long silence. " really, it is." she says, looking at me with a small smile. i feel myself turning red. " hey you good?" she says, and we make sharp eye contact. "oh-um yeah!" i say, turning my head the other direction. i swear you could cut the tension with a knife.

i redirect my eyes to the ocean. It's really nice. there isn't anyone else around so we could probably talk about anything,, i want to ask a question so we can have a real conversation... idk what to ask. my heart is beating faster than usual, and because of how small this bench is, i think mar's is too, and our shoulders are practically touching. " do you like anyone?" mar says. i almost flinched because of how in thought i was. oh shit i need to answer the question.

mar pov 11:10

" do you like anyone?" i ask to fill the silence. the silence. was. killing me holy shit. but it is really nice sitting next to soph in an environment like this. she looks embarassed though. i wonder why, i really hope i'm not making her uncomfortable. There's a silence except for the music playing in my earbud for a few minutes.

" i think so." she says, setting her eyes onto the ocean. i move my hand out my pocket and onto the bench. As i do so, our hands slightly touch. my eyes widen at the touch. I think i'm gonna fake a faint and see what happens because im getting bored.

soph's pov 11:20

*THUD* OH MY GOD DID MAR JUST FAINT??? WHAT THE HELL??? '" mar are you okay?" i say, getting on my knees and holding her. did she just faint???? i think she did. how would she faint??? i look at her face in confusion. " i know this is not the time but you are really pretty" i whisper to her , because she's unconsious and obviously cant hear me. As i pick her up, i feel weight shifting off of me.

"what happened?" mar says, standing up and getting off of me. " you FAINTED!!!" i say, " you really had me worried." she grins. " awww you were worried about me?? that's so cute!!!" she says, definitely mocking me. but lowkey... i want her to call me cute 24/7 ngl i wishhhhh.

"do you wanna go back to my house now?" i say, " you can spend the night again and we can walk to school together." we both go to a pretty small private school, so i get to see her all the time. plus the school is close to my house, so we could definitely walk. I also want her to stay longer because being in her presence is enough to make my day!!! " yeah sure, let's get going." she says. " race you there" i say, getting on my long board. " im gonna win!!!!" mar yells, getting on her board.

even though it's just friendly interactions, i couldn't ask for anything else when i'm with her.
