I sat in the police car bored out of my mind. You would think living in Newyork something bad would be happening right now. I had about thirty minutes until I would be off and my walky talky was silent. I turned the radio on low listening to some old school music. On the corner of my eye I saw a lady walk into the Deli Store. She looked really good, looks like she could be a business woman or something. About 5'3- 5'4 right up my alley. I watched her from my right mirror order her food. I wasn't really the type to walk up to women and ask for their numbers majority of the time they would come up to me and I have always been lucky. I saw a black car speed over the speed limit and I quickly followed it. Demanding for them to pull over the car. They quickly did as they were told and I parked behind them quickly getting out. A man nervously pulled down the window.

"What seems to be the problem officer? He asked

"Do you not know how fast you were going? I asked.

"I'm aware, it's just my wife is in labor and I'm trying to hurry up and get her. You know how that goes" he chuckled.

"Not at all sir" I pulled out the pad and wrote him a warning. "I'm giving you a warning this time sir just be more careful" I said with a bit of an attitude I was ready to go home to my bed.

"Thank you so much officer have a nice night" he said pulling off. I went back in the patrol car. "10-42"

I parked the car returning to the station. It was going on 9:30 and my back was killing me. I turned off the car and walked in the building greeting my chief.

"Ha! Latimore my man" he smiled patting my back. "Sup Chief"

"Where you headed? He asked. "Home, gonna get some rest"

"Man, you a loser bruh you never want to hang with the gang "Jackson said."Nigga, I've been working double shifts, I'm going to sleep" I said grabbing my bag. "Ared man, I feel you, I feel you but don't miss my birthday party man there's gonna be hella ladies there maybe you can meet someone you know"

"Man, I ain't even for the mingling right now"

"Oh my god, you're still not over Alix? He said rolling his eyes. "Yeah, no kinda, look she really messed with my pride"

"It's been 8 months" Daniel laughed. "I'm over it trust me, I'm just chillin damn get off my neck" I laughed.

When I came in my house, I threw my bag on the floor and plopped on the couch turning on the TV. I was really starting to feel like a loner. My ex girl left me because I was too busy for her and she felt lonely. My mom and friends are on my back about settling down and I can't get a break to save my life. I opened my refrigerator to look at an empty fridge. "Shit, I forgot to go to the market" I quickly called Papa John's so I could order a pizza before they close.
