Two weeks later

Ever since Jacob gave me some space I've been feeling more relieved. I felt like he was trying to suffocate me while I was still grieving. Although I understand he was just trying to be by my side. I appreciated the space I was receiving. I did miss him a little bit though he barely would call. He'd text me every morning to see how I was doing in all but that was about it.My shop was now back open and my customers were sky rocketing. I hired 5 new staff to help me in the kitchen. I educated them on how I made my deserts so they all would have my touch. I guess since my shop was closed for two weeks that gave my company enough time to gain more customers.

Jacob

Ever since Tia told me she needed her space I've been missing her like crazy and a tad bit upset because I want to see her but if my presence makes her feel uncomfortable right now then I'll back off. Even though I missed her and is being patient I won't wait forever. For now, I'm just trying to keep myself extra busy.

I walked in the locker room grabbing my bag until Daniel stopped me. "You good bro? He asked.

"Yeah man I'm just a little frustrated that's all" I said. "With Tia? He asked

"Who else? I chuckled. "Its just she told me she needed space its been two weeks almost three I don't know what's going on? I whined

"Check on her then" he said. "I already did trillion of times if she don't wanna see me she don't wanna see me" I said

"That pride is a mothafucka isn't it" he said. I laughed "It sure is" I closed my locker. "Come on let's knock these last two hours out" I said.

Tia

I walked around greeting my customers getting great feedback all of the positivity in the air was making me feel 10 times better. I turned around and in walked my worse enemy. Alix what on earth was she doing here if it was to be petty I wasn't for it. I also noticed she was pregnant and from the looks of it far along. I walked towards her meeting her half way. "Hi" she said.

"Hi can I help you? I asked. My attitude said it all I wanted her to read it fast. "Yeah I came here because I wanted us to talk if that was okay with you? she asked. I gave her the side eye "No drama, I ensure you" she smiled.

"Sure" I said walking to the back where my office was. "You can have a seat" I said offering my chair.

"Thanks" she said sitting down. "I wanted to talk to you because Jacob came by my house a few weeks ago-

Even that had me fucked up "Wait so you want to talk woman to woman and the first thing that comes out of your mouth is Jacob being at your house " I said raising my brow. "No not like that, look Tia you know I have problems with my delivery"

I nodded my head agreeing with her at least she knows. I let her finish "Well he came by to ask me if I had anything to do with that situation that went down at the ball between you and Sydney and I told him no"

"That's a little hard to believe seeing as though you and Sydney were the best of friends" I said crossing my arms. "Were not friends anymore but Jacob did tell me about your situation" she said. I rolled my eyes growing pissed out of all people in the world the last person that needed to know was her.

"Oh really" I said

"Yeah I was curious he just seemed really upset about the whole situation and I told him to give you space and to be understanding basically to put himself in your shoes" she said. I didn't know where she was going with this but for the first time in a long time she seemed some what genuine. "I then told him that we needed to squash our beef and that's why I'm here" she said
