The room was engulfed with sunlight as Mr. X raised the iron curtains. James opened the door, and entered. "Watson and Amy?" he asked. "They're asleep. Watson is doing okay," X replied. James grabbed his diluted brandy from the table, took a sip, and immediately spit it out. "God, this is awful," he said with a disgusted look on his face.
"What did he propose?" X asked, looking outside. "I'm sorry?" James looked puzzled. "Lucifer. I know he came here last night after I rushed inside. What did he propose to you?" James put down his glass. "Nothing that was interesting enough for me to consider. That's all you need to know," he replied. "Considering the fact that I just had to rescue Watson from a high-profile demon who had trespassed onto my own property, and the fact that we got some new blood sleeping upstairs, I like to think I do need to know exactly what he proposed." James glared at him. "There is absolutely no need for you to know," he stated. "Then how exactly am I supposed to trust that you didn't accept a deal and betray us in the process?" X questioned angrily.
"I fucking saved you from there, X!" James yelled. "Without me, you wouldn't be here. Fuck, you wouldn't even be alive! And now you have the nerve to distrust me?" X clenched his fists. "I have every goddamn right to distrust you, considering your heritage!" he shouted. James picked up the glass, and threw it to X, who quickly dived and avoided it. The glass hit the wall and shattered. Mr. X got up, and pointed to the door. "Get out," he said. Without a word, James left, slamming the door behind him.
"Morning." Watson walked into the bar, still wearing her pajamas. X was pouring himself a beer. "Nothing you need to be worried about, it was dealt with," he said, not looking up. "Not that it mattered, anyway. How you feeling?" Watson looked at him, surprised. "Did you just ask me how I'm feeling? X, man, are you sure you are feeling okay?" X looked at her. "Knock it off before I lift up your shirt and disinfect your wounds with this beer." Watson walked over to the bar, and poured herself a glass of OJ. "I'm doing fine. A little shaken, but I was only taken by him, not brought to hell or anything," she said. "I'd probably be a lot worse if it hadn't been for Amy's quick and amazing care." X smiled. "Yeah, she's really something, isn't she?" he said.
Watson sat down. "Honestly, I stormed out yesterday because of how strangely she's handling all this, but after extensively talking to her yesterday I take back everything I've thought. She's absolutely amazing," Watson said. "I can see how you were able to develop feelings for her." X spat out his beer. "What, me? Feelings for her? Absolutely not. I don't do that kind of thing," he said. "We all do it, X, even you. There's no escaping it," Watson said with a smile on her face. "Nope, nope, nope, absolutely not, nope, not the case, end of story, nope," he said as he walked over to the tap. "And I'm going to need a lot more beer to process such a ridiculous false accusation," he said as he tapped himself another beer. "Me, having feelings for someone, puh." He downed his beer, and put the glass away. "Amy's training starts in an hour. I better get ready," he said. "Don't squeeze her boobs too hard," Watson said, smiling. X glared at her, then left.
