Mr. X opened his eyes. Daylight was shining through the windows, flooding the room with light. He looked to his side, and saw Amy lying next to him, still asleep. He found himself smiling, though he wasn't sure why. He knew he had to get up, prepare breakfast, check on James... But he couldn't take his eyes off of the girl lying at his side. There was something about her face, the way she lied there, the way she looked, that made him feel both happy and anxious to leave her side. It was an unfamiliar and mildly unsettling feeling.

Slowly, she opened her eyes. "Good morning," X said softly, and he smiled. "Good morning, Tiger," she said smiling back at him. She leaned in, and brought her lips to his ear. "You were amazing last night," she whispered. She lied down on his torso, and looked up at him. "Shouldn't you be making breakfast? You know, with James being bedridden and all," she asked. "What, are you hungry?" he asked back. "Well, not really, but you know, Watson..." Amy replied. "Watson can take perfectly good care of her own breakfast for one day," X said, as he ran his hand through Amy's hair. It felt soft, as if he was running his hand through silk. "I'm perfectly fine here." Amy smiled, and snuggled her head a little more against his torso. "Yeah, this is nice," she said. "I wish we could lie here like this forever." She looked up at him. "So, how was I last night?" she asked, a little uncertain of herself. X chuckled. "You think I'd be running my hand through your hair like this you'd been disappointing?" he asked. "I suppose not," Amy replied as she looked down. She wrapped her hands around him, and looked at him again. "Wanna go one more time?" she asked excitingly. X smiled. "I think you know my answer to that question," he said, and they kissed.

Watson was just finishing up her lunch when Mr. X and Amy finally walked into the room, both wearing only a bathrobe. "Christ, got about time. It's 1PM!" Watson exclaimed. "Where the hell were you two?" X opened the fridge, and took a few sandwiches out. He tossed one to Amy. "Oh you know, bed was cozy," he said. "Very cozy. Too cozy," Amy added. Watson looked at X, then at Amy, and her eyes widenend. "Hold on, you two didn't actually..." She cut herself off when X looked at her with a look saying 'guess'. X poured Amy a glass of OJ, and himself a wine. "X, don't you think you should maybe cut back a little on the alcohol?" Amy asked. She got up, walked over to stand behind him, and wrapped her arms around his torso. "After all, I'd prefer to keep you around a little longer," she said, and she kissed him on the cheek. X sighed, and put the bottle of wine down. "Fine, I'll get myself a glass of orange juice," he said. Watson's jaw dropped. She had never seen anyone able to persuade X to put down the bottle. Amy let go of X, and they walked over to the table to eat their brunch.

"So what about the demons, X?" Amy asked. "I mean, after yesterday, I reckon they'll come back." X took a sip of his OJ, made a face of disgust, and put the glass down again. "They won't attack while Lamia is here. And trust me, she'll be here for a while. James is way too fond of her to let her go," he said. Amy looked puzzled. "Fond?" she asked. "James and Lamia have a bit of a... history," Watson said. "Turns out having the lower body of a snake doesn't mean you're devoid of genitalia." Amy shook her head as she yelled, "NOPE. NOPE. TMI, NOPE." X laughed. "Anyways, while she's here the demons won't attack. Lamia may now be fighting against them, but she's a valuable asset for Hell and they won't risk alientating her too much just to get to us."

"Hate to interrupt," Watson said, "but can you two please not that?" Amy looked up, puzzled. "Do what?" she asked. "That," Watson said, pointing under the table, where X's and Amy's feet were playing together. "The feet thing. Keep that shit in the bedroom, please." They stopped, and X mumbled an apology. "I'm thinking, though," Amy said. "Don't do that. That's my job," X interrupted. Amy laughed, then continued. "If the demons aren't coming for a while, we could maybe start going out and keep her in the neighborhood. You know, get lives. Live." Watson looked at X. "Actually, X, that's not that bad of an idea. If Lamia shapeshifts her lower body away, she would blend right in with the rest and we won't have a repeat of the ballroom night," she said. X leaned on the table, and sighed. "Alright, fine. We can try it, see how it goes," he said. Amy squealed, and bent over the table to kiss him. "We're gonna have so much fun, X!" she said. "Perfect, perfect, now please go get dressed," Watson said. "There are still single people here." X and Amy giggled, and they got up. "We'll talk later and make plans, okay?" Amy said to Watson. "You got it," Watson replied.
