Amy put a cold compress on James' forehead as Mr. X and Watson observed. "This'll keep him cool for the time being. He won't let me treat the burns all over his body," she said. "Trust me, it's for the best," Mr. X replied. "Thank you, Amy. I'd like a moment with him, please. Alone." Watson and Amy nodded, and left.

X sat down at James' bed. "You got a lot of explaining to do," he said. James looked at him. "I don't see what requires explanation," he said weakly. X got up, and paced around. "I know Lucifer showed up here, I know he offered you a deal, and I know you left angrily and then returned with a burned and scarred body. Seems to me like a trip to hell, especially considering the burns." X touched one with his finger, and James cringed. "Not to mention that you stumble in with the words 'we're in trouble' before collapsing in my garden. James, what happened?" James looked at X. "You're not going to like it," he said. "Try me," replied X.

Amy and Watson were standing in the hallway when X came down the stairs. "Amy, remember when I told you to never be a hero?" X asked. "Yeah?" she replied. "Forget I ever said that. We're about to do dangerous shit," X said. He walked off to the living room, but Watson followed him. "Whoa whoa X, hold up," she said. X stopped, and turned around. The door closed behind them. "Mind telling us what's going on?" Watson asked. "James has been to hell and back," X said. "It's time for payback." Watson stared at him in unbelief. "You want to go to hell and hit them?" X nodded. "Hit them where it hurts: their home." Watson couldn't believe what she was hearing. "On their home turf, where they're the strongest, with only a few guns. Yeah, great idea, X. Amazing." She turned around, and left. "I'm out," she said, as X followed her. Watson opened the front doors, and immediately closed them. She turned around and leaned against the door, a frightened look on her face. "What? What is it?" Amy asked. Watson's voice trembled as she spoke. "There's a demon army outside."
