Wally's Wonderland

Chapter 12

Dan bangs on the gates, trying to get them to open. But it still doesn't do anything. All hope seems lost.

But then Dan gets an idea. He heads to his police car and enters. He pulls out a phone and dials.

"Carson City Sheriff's office." A man answers.

"This is Dan Anderson. We need your assistance now!" Dan tells him quickly.

"What seems to be the problem?"

"Trouble going on in Haysville. There's these demonic animatronics at a theme park. They've killed five kids and are now about to kill four more people."

The man doesn't respond for a second, before asking:

"What kind of stuff you been smoking?"

"No-no I'm serious!" Dan says, desperate. "Look, these creatures were cursed by Jerry Wilkinson, the same guy who murdered families here in Haysville years ago. You gotta get a SWAT unit, call the press, whatever! Just get everything you have over here right now!"

"Alright-alright-alright. Don't worry pal, help will be on the way." The man assures him, and hangs up.

Dan puts away his phone, leans back on his seat, taking a sigh of relief, glad that more cops are coming. But as he takes a moment to calm himself...

CRASH!

Leona Lion jumps down in front of him and breaks through the windshield, roaring crazily at him and attempting to bite at his face, but he holds her jaws away, struggling to keep the feline away.

Eventually, he pushes Leona away and she lands on the ground. She immediately gets up and heads towards the driver's door.

"It ain't nice to push a girl like that." She says, tearing the cage partition loose with brute strength, swiping her claws at Dan.

He dodges left.

He dodges right.

Before bracing himself against the seat, and kicking the lion hard, making her flail backwards out of the windshield.

Now is his chance.

Dan dives into the passenger seat, when Leona bites his ankle. Dan yelps in pain, kicks her away. He pushes the passenger's side door open, and crawls out of the vehicle.

Dan gets to his feet. The injury on his leg makes it hard for him to run. Leona leaps from the car and towards him, chatting:

"You can run but you can't hide friend."

Dan limps away, while the cat chases after him, jumping like a lunatic on crack. The two end up running in circles around the parking lot, going on for a while until Dan stumbles next to the police car. He notices his shotgun inside the cabin.

Dan gets up, punches Leona when she gets close to him, making her tumble off her feet. He then opens the passenger side and dives into the vehicle. Leona crawls to catch him.

Dan takes the gun, and starts climbing out the driver's side. However, Leona grabs onto his foot, sinking her claws through the leather of his shoe and into his skin. He kicks her in the head to make her stop. Eventually she does and pulls his shoe off, and he falls out onto the ground.

He lays on the asphalt, his body covering the gun. Leona peers down from the driver's seat, laughing her ass off:

"You're mine now little mousy!"

"Think again." Dan says, rolling over and shoving the barrel into the lion's mouth.

"Oh shit..." She muffles.
