All You Needed (book 3)

Chapter 12

After Jonathan or John, dropped me off, we exchanged numbers, and said our goodbyes.

John is actually a pretty nice guy. I found out he's only two years older than me, and he's the only child from his family. Something about his parents couldn't have anymore kids because of some affect.

But in the overall time with him, it was pretty fun.

I dropped my stuff by the door and walked to my room with my phone. I have to text Hunter to make sure he's okay.

To Hunter: Hey you okay? Your flight go easy? Sorry, it's just.. Someone said that you WILL die, and I wanted to see if you were okay.

I placed my phone down beside me, and closed eyes. Everything from McDonald's replayed, right before I fell asleep.

I woke up to a knock on my door. I quickly jumped up, grabbed my phone, and ran down the stairs.

The person banged a lot louder this time, making my head hurt.

"Ow. Hold on!" I yelled.

I ran m fingers through my hair, then opened the door. My face now faces Hunters. Wait, Hunter?

"What are you doing here?"

"I texted you back a few times, but you never responded." You could see the fear in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry, I fell asleep after I texted you."

"It's fine. I was worried." He pulled me into a huge hug. My head laid on his shoulder, and I felt him rub circle on my back.

I pulled away.

"How are you though?" I asked him.

"I'm fine." He ran his hand through his hair. "But I can really feel the pain in my chest sometimes."

"Do you know what it is yet?"

"Actually.." He grabbed my hand and pulled me over to my couch, making me sit. He sat beside me.

"What is it Hunter?"

"It's a disease called Sarcoidosis."

"What's that?" I know of some disease, but that one I never have heard of.

"It's a disease that normally starts in your chest nodes, or other parts. But this thing goes to your organs, and other stuff. I haven't done much research, but I do know it's deadly if not treated. Also it may come back to a person after 3 years. But the overall affect after its gone can reduce in few to no long term problems. But it can damage the organs. Also about the death thing, rarely sarcoidosis can be fatal. Death from it is normally in the lungs, heart, and, or brain. This disease is also one-third of the worlds population can get it, or has it. For me, I guess I'm one of the unlucky ones."

Tears started to form. I swear it seems as if today is just a crying day for me.

"W-what does that mean? Your one of the unlucky ones?" I really didn't want to hear his answer. I know I can't take whatever he's about to tell me. I guess Jordan is right.

"It means I most likely am going to die. When? I don't know. But I know I don't have much time left. I can feel it in my chest, pretty bad, and just yesterday I started feeling a little bit more pain in my stomach. Jade, I'm sorry."

He started to cry. I can tell he doesn't want to leave me. I know he doesn't. But my only question is, why does it have to be Hunter? He diserve a more than this. He doesn't need to die, we were counting on forever. Or maybe forever is just for fairytales.

"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault." I have him a assuring smile when I lifted his chin.

I placed my lips on his.

How am I ever going to get past his death?

"There's one more thing." He said. "The dockers can't find out where it started, or how, but it's spreading to my other organs fast. The doctor says I have a month, maybe if that."

I brought my hand to my mouth. Tears spilled over. Now that's one thing I have to worry about. I now know how long he has.

"They aren't going to do surgery? Or give you medicine to treat it?"

"They can't. They don't know what they need to do, or what to do."

"So I'm going to loose you in a matter of weeks."

"I'm afraid so Babygirl."

He pulled me into another hug, this time neither letting go, but just simply crying on one another's shoulders.

Okay besides this chapter, the one where Hunter was diagnosed with the disease, are the two saddest chapters I've written..
Okay so don't go all ballistic, I don't know if he will die or not. I can easily change it. There are such things as miracles, and maybe he'll have one.
