"shoupe why would we lie about this if nothing really happened? we all know how loved the cameron's are, and suddenly their accused of one dirty thing and you immediately think it's a lie? i should've just called my mom to check it out" avani scoffed, finally speaking up as the group called shoupe to the scene of where they watched ward kill gavin.

"gavin has a wife! she'll find out soon enough why her husband didn't come home tonight, we're just trying to tell you the truth!" she continued.

"the proof is unusable, i can't just go off your words, kids. i need actual material evidence, eye witnesses can't go very far in a case like this, even if i do believe you, they won't believe me with it coming from teenage kids" shoupe replied.

"you really think some 'kids' would accuse the father of our dead friend? it's what sarah would want." avani sighed.

"i'm sorry kids. there's not much more i can do." he sighed at the mentioning of sarah.

"shoupe, just please. discuss it with my mom. that's all i ask" avani said as her mother was beginning to take over for plumb being shoupe partner.

"stop. just stop. i've had enough" he said, walking off the site.

the four teens followed him frantically, still arguing to prove their points.

after arguing with shoupe for long enough, he left and pope made the plan of them attempting to find the hun in the drains the next day.

kie dropped JJ and avani at her house, avani walking to find her mom to talk to her about tonight even though she was off duty.

"so you videoed them and wire tapped them? jeez, you kids really have some balls to put this man behind bars" her mom sighed looking back at the two kids sitting across from her in her office.

"i know you believe me mom, please. we watched it all happen!" she said, tears welling in her eyes.

"i do. i really do. trust me, i've never liked ward. let alone i couldn't trust him or his wife as far as i could throw them, they've always been greedy yet anyone falls at their feet." her mom said, still writing stuff down.

"see what you can do with that camera and let me know" she said

"mom it's a dud. pope dropped it, and it's smashed. it wouldn't even be able to be plugged in to retrieve the videos either" avani said.

"god. let me see what i can do. i'll keep you updated with what i can after i talk to shoupe tomorrow. go get some sleep, kids. you've got school" she said

"okay. goodnight mom" she said, her and jj walking back upstairs to her bedroom.

"what's going on?" topper said as they bumped into him in the hallway, he must've heard some of the conversations.

"nothing top. don't worry about it" avani sighed

"hey JJ. i'm sorry for what happened at the country club the other day" topper apologised, avani turning to look between the two.

"you could've prevented that from happening, top. now he lost his job" avani spoke for him as JJ only sent him a pissed off look
