A Blessing In Disguise

Suga had mixed feelings of confusion and fear as he read Chaeyoung's notes. Nothing seemed delighting in them. It was obvious that it was a suicide note but he refused to believe it. He stood up from the bed and called her name, to be met once again with silence. He immediately turned around and ran towards the bathroom door to check if she's there but was welcomed by her pale body which was lying on the floor. While holding a pill bottle in her hand. Suga didn't waste a second and immediately ran to her and started shaking her body hoping she'd respond but there was no movement. He immediately grabbed his phone and called 911.
Suga was in a daze the whole time. He couldn't comprehend what had happened. He found himself waiting in the hospital with the BTS members by his side, lost and depressed, with one question circling in his mind: Will she make it? He couldn't bear the thought that the gastric lavage might not work and that his wife might not survive.
Jungkook's voice broke his trance, inviting him to eat something, but he refused. All he wanted was to see Chaeyoung safe, even if it meant enduring her scolding and cursing. He could bear any pain but the pain of losing the love that had recently brightened his life.
Even the members were deeply concerned as they've never seen him in that state. He was completely devastated.

"Hyung, look!" Jungkook tapped his shoulder, pointing towards the operation room door as the doctor emerged, sweating heavily.

"What happened? Is she okay?" Suga stood up anxiously.

"I can't say for sure," the doctor replied. "We were able to retrieve the substance, but the pills had already started affecting her. I'm sorry, but she's still in critical condition and needs intensive care."

"Is she awake? Can I see her?" Suga asked.

"She is awake, but she requested not to see you. If someone else wants to go in, please keep it brief," the doctor said.

"B-but—" Suga tried to protest.

"No buts," the doctor said firmly. "This is a matter of life and death. Your wife attempted suicide, and we need to treat her with the utmost care."

"Hyung, don't worry, I'll talk to her" Jungkook said.

"Don't take too long" the doctor said "and Yoongi-shi, I have to ask you some questions about her condition. Please follow me to my office"

Suga followed the doctor still feeling sick worried about Chaeyoung who refused to see him. He had a seat facing the doctor and lowered his head.

"How is your marriage with Chaeyoung?" The doctor asked.

Suga recounted the entire story from the beginning, leaving the doctor taken aback but also able to understand what had driven Chaeyoung to try to end her life.

"You know I can't just let this go" the doctor said "what your father did is mainly the reason behind all of this so he needs to be stopped"

"This is what we've been trying to do all along, but nothing has worked," Suga sighed bitterly.

"I think Chaeyoung unwillingly gave you the solution, you just didn't pay attention" the doctor said with a victorious smile.

"What do you mean?" Suga said then quickly understood "oh my god!!"
