Jeongyeon packed Chaeyoung's belongings as the latter stood excitedly, eagerly anticipating her departure from the hospital. Jeongyeon felt immense relief that her friend was healthy and ready to resume her life.

"I can't wait to go home," Chaeyoung exclaimed, her energy palpable. "I almost suffocated in this place."

"Are you sure you don't want to go to the dorm?" Jeongyeon asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

"I'm absolutely sure. I can't stay there with Jihyo around. It's not safe for me."

"But who's going to take care of you at home? That bastard has vanished into thin air," Jeongyeon cursed, frustration evident.

"He was in a car accident and is recovering," Chaeyoung said, her excitement dimming with sudden sadness.

"So what are you going to do?" Jeongyeon asked. "Should I come with you?"

"Please do. I'd be grateful."

"But there's no guarantee I won't murder that trash called a husband," Jeongyeon joked, trying to lighten the mood.

"I give you permission," Chaeyoung laughed. "I might even help you."

The two friends left the hospital and headed to Chaeyoung and Suga's house, greeted by an agonizing silence. Chaeyoung felt a pang of hurt but shrugged it off and went to her room. Jeongyeon helped her settle in before heading downstairs to make something to eat. As she started cooking, she heard the sound of the door lock turning, causing her to spin around immediately.

"I thought you'd never show up," Jeongyeon snapped at Suga, who was barely able to move.

"Did I come to the wrong house? What are you doing here?" Suga asked as he threw himself onto the couch.

"I felt sorry for my friend, whose husband was nowhere to be found while she was suffering from a transplant, so I thought I should help her," Jeongyeon replied, crossing her arms. "That is, if you don't mind."

"Chaeyoung is here?" Suga stood up immediately, forgetting his pain.

"Good grief!" Jeongyeon scoffed. "Acting like you care? Stop the act; she doesn't want to see you."

"Is she okay?" Suga asked, genuine concern in his voice.

"I said drop the act and let me do what I have to do," Jeongyeon glared at him.

"Suit yourself. I'm not willing to argue," Suga muttered as he ignored her and started struggling up the stairs toward the bedroom. Jeongyeon's eyes followed his difficult movements, and she couldn't help but comment.

"That car must've done a great job hitting you," Jeongyeon mocked. "You can barely walk."

"I guess words travel fast," Suga rolled his eyes. "Is that a problem for you? You must be happy."

Jeongyeon was about to mock him further but noticed his pained expression and that he was about to collapse. She rushed over, suddenly concerned.

"Are you okay?" Jeongyeon tried to help him.

"Save it," he said, pushing her away. Suga continued his painful trek upstairs, as if his life depended on it, and hobbled to the room where Chaeyoung was lying down. He coughed to get her attention, moving closer to her.

"Are you alright?" he asked.

"You look like you got the transplant, not me," Chaeyoung said, eyeing him up and down.

"I'm fine. You should worry about yourself," he replied. "Can you move around?"

"Why are you asking? So you can leave again without checking on me?"

"For God's sake, Chaeyoung. Answer the damn question without causing trouble," he yelled, making her flinch.

"I'm not supposed to answer anything. If you cared even a bit, you would've come to take care of me, but you chose to disappear."

"I can't believe you," Suga said, shaking his head. "Can't you see that I'm hurt too?"

"Look, since we're both hurt, how about we don't cross paths again?" Chaeyoung shouted. "Every conversation ends in a fight, so let's just ignore each other."

"You've got yourself a deal. I'm not seeking any trouble here," Suga said, turning to leave.

"Don't show your face to me because I'm staying here," Chaeyoung screamed. "I can't even go to the dorm because of your lover."

Chaeyoung's words made Suga stop in his tracks and turn around to look at her.

"Lover? What are you talking about?" Suga asked, confused.

"Didn't you know that Jihyo tried to sabotage the transplant? That bitch wanted me dead," Chaeyoung said bitterly. "I bet you knew and wanted me dead too."

"How dare you say that?" Suga stormed toward her and grabbed her jaw tightly. "Have you lost your mind?"

"What? Isn't that what you want? It would benefit you and your father. If I'm dead, you'll have my whole company for yourselves, you bunch of thieves," Chaeyoung gritted her teeth.

"Say that one more time, and you'll regret it," Suga pressed her jaw even tighter.

"What are you going to do, huh?" Chaeyoung taunted.

"Shut up, okay," Suga shouted so loudly that Jeongyeon came running.

"Yoongi-shi, I think you should leave her to rest," Jeongyeon said, trying to pull him away.

"The only thing that needs rest is her mouth so she knows what to say," Yoongi snapped before storming out of the house.

"You shouldn't have said that. It was mean, Chaeyoung-ah," Jeongyeon admonished gently. "He's injured himself, and as for Jihyo, she's the one pursuing him. He has no interest in her."

"Unnie," Chaeyoung called softly, struggling to keep her emotions in check. "I'd like to stay alone."
