A Blessing In Disguise

Dowan walked towards Suga's door after calling to inform him of his visit. Despite Suga's declining health, he knew he had to gather his strength to confront his father. Suga opened the door, and they both settled in, prepared for a lengthy discussion.

"Hajoon told me everything, lover boy" Dowan teased.

"Aish! I specifically told him not to tell anyone," Suga grumbled. "I'll deal with him later. He's on his way here anyway

As they were chatting, there was a knock on the door, and Hajoon entered with a mischievous grin.

"What's with the smile?" Dowan asked, closing the door behind him.

"Someone is sick worried about you, and guess who! Your lovely wife."

"Stop joking. She gave me an earful when I visited her," Suga retorted.

"This man doesn't believe me after all these years. Okay, you'll see with your bare eyes how worried she is" Hajoon said "I even had to make up a whole story about you getting involved in a car accident to convince her and stop her from searching and asking about you."

"Stop teasing him" Dowan laughed "let's just get to the point. We are here to ask you for a huge favour"

"And what is that ?" Sugar asked, curious.

"I need you to infiltrate your father's team and gather as much information as you can," Dowan explained. "There's no other way for us to know what he's planning unless we have someone watching him closely. We're not making any progress lately, and we need to get this done ASAP. It will also benefit you—you can figure out how to protect yourself from your father, who is trying to bust you. Then, we can bring this case back to court."

"What am I supposed to do?" Suga asked.

" Just convince your father that you're going to take his side from now on, make him trust you, whatever he's planning to do with Chaeyoung we're going to do the same to him"

"What if we fail, we'll end up getting hurt" Suga said "you don't know him. He's very capable"

"That's why we shouldn't make any mistakes. If we get caught that means Chaeyoung goes to jail" Dowan said "look I know I'm putting too much burden on your shoulder especially that you are still recovering but you're the only one who can help me. I'm helpless right now and I want to save her from this ordeal"

"I'm not worried about my health, I'm worried about the consequences of messing with him" Suga sighed worriedly "Okay I will see what I can do. But aren't you worried about being accused of spying in case we get caught?"

"As long as we use his method, we're safe" Dowan said in a very serious tone.

"What do you mean?" Suga wondered.

"As I practised law, I came to realize that justice is often weak and empty," Dowan explained. "It's impossible to go against villains with justice alone; we need to be ruthless and strong. If merciless justice existed, I'd wholeheartedly yield to it, but as long as money rules, justice is useless. We must eradicate villainy at its root."

Dowan convinced them that there's no way to take Mr. Min down other than playing his own game and give him a taste of his own medicine. The trio discussed the ins and outs of their next plan and have been assigned to their tasks but Suga's was the toughest. He wasn't just going up against his own father; he was risking his life by spying on him.
