I want to apologise for the lack of updates lately. I've been focusing all my brain power on finishing my semester at uni, which was hard enough in itself, but then I've also been on holiday for the last two weeks. I let this book take the back burner because I'm literally paying to get my degree and not passing is a stupid idea. But I will get back into the swing of this, promise!

Enjoy an update!

The looks on the guys' faces when Luke and I walked into Pioneer together were priceless. Even though Luke had already warned them, and I had already warned Lexi, that we were giving friendship another turn. Thankfully they were warned not to bring anything up, so the subjects they were desperate to talk about never made it past their lips.

"Well, you look better than I thought you would considering you were nearly dead this morning" Lexi chuckled as Luke and I sat down with our food. The only others at the table were Tyler and Tate. The three people least likely to bring anything up, thank god.

"I did empty my stomach completely and then have water, painkillers and a shower so I guess I don't feel as bad" I supplied.

"Told you" Luke interjected as I rolled my eyes and looked back to Lexi, shovelling a forkful of the alfredo pasta Luke had recommended into my mouth.

"Did you talk to the Peacock?"

"No, I figured he wouldn't want to be disturbed. I dropped a Gatorade at his door just before I came down here though" I nodded as I ate more and more of the pasta.

"Oh my god, this is fucking amazing" I muttered as Luke snickered.

"Pioneer's Saturday alfredo pasta has brought me back from the brink of death many times."

"Too bad you didn't have any at practice that time hmm?" Tate teased. I watched Luke to see how he would react. But I think we both knew that it would be Bunker or Fraser to make a stupid comment about us, so not having either of them here meant most things were fair game.

"Probably for the best, seeing as I had the biggest barf of my life following" Luke chuckled.

"Okay, ew, I'm trying to eat" I protested, blocking my ears to try not to listen to the barf-talk. The table simply chuckled and the subject was dropped, although the boys kept chuckling.

"Wouldn't have picked you as the weak stomach type Pruitt" Tate joked and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not. But I don't want to hear about that kind of thing while I'm eating. Especially not this hungover"

"Sorry, we'll drop it" Tate responded and I nodded, thankfully.

"Good, or else you'd be wearing it"

"I thought you said you didn't talk to him?" Tyler's voice said as he looked towards the door. Instinctively, we all turned to see Fraser walking in.

"I didn't, he must have decided he was hungry on his own." Lexi retorted as Fraser approached the table. His eyebrows were furrowed into their usual angry look and he didn't stop to get food, just walked straight towards us. Well, it seemed he was approaching the table but watching the way his eyes locked onto mine, it was really me he was seeing. He had no idea anyone else was even there.

"You, come with me" I rolled my eyes.

"Hello, it's good to see you too"

"I'm not in the fucking mood Pruitt, come now"
