Their Sins

Chapter 24

"Mathew stops it," Natalia said with a laugh as she was trying to get her husband to leave her alone. He wanted her to dance which was never really her strong suit. "Come on dance honey," he said grabbing her hands and pulling her to his chest.

"Fine but only for a few minutes," She said smiling at her husband. She wrapped her arms around his neck while he wrapped his arms around her waist. In all honesty, Natalia loved these moments.

She hated the moments when he would be drunk out of his mind. Where he would always gamble with everything. Where he put his life on the line with everything he would ever do.

Mathew looked at her and recognized that face. "Listen, sweetheart," Mathew said pulling over to the chair and sitting down. He pulled her onto his lap and wrapped his arms around her waist.

"I'm not the best husband, I'm barely even a man. I know what I do is wrong but it's an addiction.  I'm trying to do better for you I am. It's just hard" he said looking at her with so much pain in his eyes.

"I know baby, that's why I'm here. I'm here to help
you change, I'm here to be your best friend, your wife, your therapist, I'm here to be your world" Natalia said rubbing his face.

"Do you think your child will like me in the future?" Mathew asked placing his hand on her stomach. "It's our child. You may not be the father but it's our child." Natalia said smiling.

"Well, what are you gonna name him?" Mathew asked smiling and rubbing his wife of 6 months' stomach.

"Well I'm gonna name him after his father, of course, Alexander Romano" Natalia said smiling at Mathew.

"And why I was the monster in your life" another voice chimed in from the doorway. Aria looked at the door with so much anger in her eyes. Max knew that look and stepped in front of her.

"Let him explain himself," Max said rubbing his sister's shoulder. "Listen to your brother dear, your father is not the perfect man but in this case he is innocent" Natalia chimed in to help Max.

"Aria I did this for your mother, it was all for her. I have never stopped loving your mother and I never will. I never meant to hurt you. I'm sorry Aria" Mathew said stepping into the door. Luke and Lucas stood guard watching him cautiously.

"Aria just listens to me please," he said in an almost begging tone. Aria moved around Max and walked to her dad. She looked at him with absolute rage in her eyes. "Okay let's talk and walk," she said looking at him.

Aria walked out of the room first with Mathew following quickly behind her. Luke was about to follow them but Max held out his arm to stop him. "I understand you wanna protect her but you have to let her learn the truth on her own" Max said pushing him away from the door gently.

"I almost let her get hurt once, I don't think I can see myself letting it happen again," Luke said looking at Max. "Luke you have always been overly protective of Aria. You never realized that she was my child. My child will never let someone hurt her without putting up a fight" Natalia said trying to reassure him.

"You also have to remember that Mathew is still my husband, he wouldn't dare put his hands on my child. If he does I will super glue his balls to his ass" she continued with a smile.

Max looked at his mother like she was crazy. "Umm I'm uncomfortable now," Lucas said which caused everyone in the room to laugh. Luke looked over at Emma and immediately stopped laughing.

Max followed his eyes and saw that he was looking at Emma. "I truly did love her, but I couldn't put her before my family. I wanted to marry her. Every day I imagined her in a white dress walking down the aisle. Things never go how we imagined or wanted do they." Max said looking down at the floor.

Natalia rubbed Max's head and kissed it. "Honey I know you loved her, that's why I never fought with you with your choices. I'm glad you put your family first but your next lesson is to remember your happiness. After all your only 17" She said hugging Max.

"A 17-year-old virgin" Lucas said laughing. Luke smacked his arm and started laughing too. "I would say ask your sister but she's dead," Max said starting to laugh but Luke and Lucas gave him a death stare.

"Boys that's enough," Natalia said releasing Max and smacking all three of them on the head. "I suggest all of you get cleaned up and dispose of the corpse in the room before it starts to smell. Also, someone show me where the kitchen is, I'll be back for dinner" Natalia said smiling.

"Oh, you don't have to worry about that Mrs.Rodriguez" Luke said while looking at her. "We have a chef" Lucas chimed in. "Lucas and Luke last time I checked I didn't ask you that, I said show me the kitchen," Natalia said in a somewhat menacing tone.

"Yes ma'am," Luke said and took her hand gently leading her to the kitchen. Max and Lucas walked over to Emma's body. Max looked at her and placed a hand on Emma's face. "I wish things could have been different between us but you almost
Killed my sister and my mom" Max said removing his hand from her face.

"In my book that's the greatest sin of them, all" Max said and grabbed a sheet to put Emma's body in. "I say we burn her and get rid of her teeth," Lucas said as if he's done this a million times before. Max looked at him shocked and backed away from him. "Remind me too never get on your bad side," he said and they both laughed.
