Chapter 2

~Aria's Point Of View~

Lights..
A monitor..
A voice..
The voice was what caught my attention in all the spinning lights. All the dizzy ness I felt soon faded because that voice said the words I didn't wanna hear.

"I have a male ,approximately 6ft , probably in his teen years with a bullet wound and massive blood loss. I also have a female, approximately 5'6, same age range as the kid and a bullet wound too." A voice said while pushing me through the hospital doors with my brother being pushed on inside along side of me. I tried to look over at him but everything was blurry.

All I seen was his blood splattered on him and the fact that he wasn't breathing. I tried to reach my hand out towards him but I couldn't move it. It felt like all the life in my body was gone. Everything in my body wouldn't work, I couldn't move my legs. Then there went the lights again , I couldn't see and all I felt was this massive pain. The pain got to much because next thing you know, everything went black for me.

I woke up in a bed that wasn't mine. It was bright and I closed my eyes a couple of times to adjust to the light. When I woke up I seen my dad holding his head.. praying. My father wasn't a religious man and I found this weird. I didn't see my brother standing next to him which was also weird but then everything hit me. The reason I was in this hospital bed..
The blood
The black car
My brother..

I tried to get out of the hospital bed but my father jumped up and grabbed me. "Aria calm down" he said holding and rubbing my back. "No no Max" was all I could mutter out as I was trying to fight against him to get to find my brother.

I screamed , kicked, punched and bit my father to get to my brother but he still wouldn't let me go. "He's dead" he said but I didn't believe him . "Let me go to my brother" I shouted at him. "Aria ,Aria " he said and grabbed my face "look at me sweetie" he rubbed the back of my head as tears fell down his face. "Max is dead" he said.

I couldn't register the words properly. I couldn't believe those words "No no Dad" I said in disbelief. I screamed in pain as I fell to the floor. My side had started hurting but I wasn't in pain because of that but because my brother was dead. My brother..
My bestfriend was dead.

I sobbed on the floor and my dad tried to hold me but I fought against him because I was angry. I couldn't save my brother and I was so disappointed in myself so I sat there fighting against my dad. Hitting , kicking and screaming at him. I threw stuff at him I did everything for him to get away from me. "You never loved him! Why the hell are you upset" I yelled at my dad.

He looked at my like I had spoken a different language. "Don't look at my like that. You never lived me or him. You blamed us for mom leaving . You got what you wanted" I said and threw a metal tray at him that was near me.

"I did love him!" He said while i was looking for more things to throw but I stopped once he said those words. "I loved him more then my own life. I favored his life above my own. He was my son! He was my first and only son.

He was my pride and joy. I never showed my love because I didn't wanna go soft on him. When your mother left I made her a promise. To make sure your brother knew that to live in this world you needed to be tough.

Don't you think it hurt me to that to him." He said tears streaming down his face. "You didn't love him enough to not do that to him." I said harshly as i sat down on my bed and turned away from him. "You didn't love him enough to be a father.."
