"Wrong. Try again." I state dryly as Jason once again can't perform the defense moves. "Why must everything about you be so aggressive? One day your anger will not work and then you could die, Jason."

"Yeah well, I'd rather die a badass than live like a pussy."

"Of course, only you would think protecting yourself if a "pussy" move."

"I can protect myself just as fine with offensive moves and not be a coward."

"You can?" I say mockingly. I then swept his legs and he landed on his back. "How's that for pussy?" He huffed loudly and I went to give him my hand and he yanked me down on the matt with him.

"See... aggressive wins."

"Yeah after I already put you on your ass." Then I did a punch to his gut and he rolled over grunting. "What's that like..2 to 1? Are you ready to start taking my advice?"

"Ughhghhgh. Yeah. Whatever." He said waving his hands around and still sounding like he was in pain.

"Jason. Y/N." At the sound of Bruce, Jason gets off the floor and I stand up straight.

"Mr. Wayne," I say back, with a tad tone of mocking.

"Jason's training is over for today. Yours begins now." He states and I sigh. Of course, just when I was about to get through Jason's thick skull we had to focus on me. I can't believe I'm saying this but this is the first time I've ever wanted something to be about someone else rather than myself. Every experience I've ever had taught me one thing: look out for you, and you alone. And everything else just fades away.

"We were just making progress Bruce. If you give me another 30 min-" I start then Bruce cuts me off.

"Weren't you and Jason making progress yesterday when he was training you with your powers? And yet he didn't ask for you to train longer when I said your time was up. What's fair is fair Y/n and I don't want to drain both of you out. We'll have plenty of time for that in the future." Bruce says and lays a hand on my shoulder. "I can see you care about this but taking breaks and training your powers are good. If we drain Jason out he can't learn to his full capability and if we don't train you, you'll continue to be scared of what you can do." Bruce removes his hand and stands up straight, suddenly acting extremely cold. "Jason. You may begin." He turns and walks away leaving me wondering what the hell goes in that old mind of his. Then I turn to see Jason smirking.

"What's got you all happy?" I asked annoyed.

"Nothing. It's just..you got your ass handed by the dear old man himself.

"Haha very funny Jason. Just do what your job is and train me already."

"Ooh, she's bossy."

"No. She's annoyed." I say and then once again sweep Jason's legs.

"Hey! Will you stop doing that?" He asks rubbing his head.

"Once you stop pissing me off then we can talk about me holding back for your sake."

"Don't take out your anger on me." He says angrily and gets up.

"Who says I am?"

"Admit it..the only reason you're all pissy right now is because dear ol' Wayne isn't giving you what you want." He says and points a finger at me. I walk up to him and slap it away.

"Don't point your godamn finger in my face," I say and the lights start to flicker.

"Jesus..are you seriously threatening me?" He asks and his usually annoying attitude turns into one with slight hurt. I take a deep breath and calm down.

"No, Jason. I'm not. It's just frustrating when you're right."

"What was that?" Jason says right back to his usual cocky self. Cupping his ear in an indicating motion he "didn't hear me".

"I SAID YOU'RE RIGHT!" I state louder.

"There you go. That's a good girl." He pats my head and I swat his arm away. "Bruce is right you do, clearly, so obviously, need a break. Let's skip your lesson and go somewhere." He says and offers me his hand.

"Oh yeah? Where?"

"Should it matter?"

"With you? Almost always."

"Come on gorgeous just trust me." He says swaying his hand. "I know you want to...." He says mockingly. I put my hand slowly in his and huffed.

"fine."
