Chapter 6

TW HOMOPHOBIC SLURS

Robin Buckley stormed towards the group of boys, Her hands balled into fists.

She knew exactly what was about to happen, and she knew exactly why. The insults being spat at Will weren't very quiet.

"Faggot." A shorter boy muttered, he kicked Wills side.

Robin had heard these insults thrown her way lots of times, she never came out to anyone besides Steve but in Middle school somehow everyone knew.

"What are you doing?" Robin shouted, her awkward running was something to laugh at but no one did.

All the children turned around, Looking at her dead in the eye.

The taller boy frowned, grabbing Will's collar and spitting on his face.

They all walked away. Leaving Will on the ground with tears in his eyes, His palms rough and his side sore.

"Will! Are you okay?" Robin asked.

Will just nodded, He stood up not noticing Mike behind Robin.

"There's a first aid in the shop." She said, shaking her head at Will.

As Will looked at Robin he saw Mike closely behind her. He looked extremely worried and he definitely didn't care about how awkward they had been at that moment.

"Dude are you okay?" Mike questioned, Robin turned her head around sharply. She now realized she was followed outside.

Before anyone could say anything, Mike was beside Will.

He put Will's arm on his shoulder, while both Robin and Will just stared at Mike. Saying nothing.

"I don't need help." Will finally muttered while moving his arm off of Mike.

Robin rolled her eyes, She hadn't known him for more then an hour and she already knew Will was as stubborn as a bull.

Grabbing his arm again; Mike glared at him.

"Oh yes You do."

Robin snorted, which both the boys glared her direction for.

"C'mon!" Mike shouted, He looked at Robin and she shrugged.

Both helped Will into the Family video even though he kept saying he didn't need it, Once they got inside Max came running towards the trio.

"I'll go get the First aid, you can put him over by the counter." Robin gestured to the cash register area.

Mike did as he was told, Smiling at Will once he set him down.

"Will? What happened?" Max yelped, "Bullies." Mike replied, dryly at that.

"You're kidding. I thought you said they were leaving you alone?" El asked, Max popped her knuckles and started towards the door.

Lucas stopped her, "Max. Chill." He said pushing her to the others.

Soon enough Robin was back, with the first aid kit.

"Stay still." Robin muttered under her breath trying to fix Will's face up.

Will for some reason was extremely comfortable with Robin, he had no idea why but it felt nice. Even if she was horrible at applying bandaids and clumsy with everything.
