Chapter 2

Sonal's POV -

It has been 2 years since I left India to go study in London. Now that I am about to lend I realised how much I missed my home. I just wished I have been coming for a good reason and not to visit Suryavardhan uncle on his death bed.

Pilot - " Please Fasten your seatbelt we will be landing in Bangalore in half n hour."

'After Landing at the airport

I went to collect my 2 bags from the conveyer belt. I didn't bring much with me because I have to go back in a month for my studies. After collecting my bags I walked towards the exit when I saw my father I started walking faster. I ran into my father's arms and hugged him tightly.

" Oh, papa I missed you so much". He hugged me back and said, " Not more than me beta."

I am still hugging him when someone said from behind me " So bhena (sister) you only missed father and not me now I see I am all alone in this world." The woman standing beside her with her arm around his arm said with a smile said " Kamal leave Sonal and uncle alone. and what do you mean by all alone in this world is this means I am not your fiance anymore?" I went towards my best friend Reena and hugs her tightly." how are you, Reena? did you miss me? "  She wrapped her around me while saying" As much as you missed me.

" Now my turn " saying this my brother Kamal hugged me and start spinning me.

Sonal-" oh bhai you will drop me and put me down."

Kamal-" First, say that You missed me the most. " I said it because it was not far from the truth."Ok ok, I missed you the most. Now please put me down."

He was grinning like a fool after hearing this. "See she loves me the most."

Sonal-" Hey I did not say that. I love papa the most."

Rajendra-" I am so happy to hear that princess."

Kamal - "Yhhh yhhh we all know that she is your favourite. Now can we go home?"

Sonal - " Yhhh I am also very tired from the journey."

Rajendra - "let's go beta and Kamal take the sister's bag."

 After putting my luggage in the car trunk I sat with papa in his car while. Reena and my brother have taken their own car. We all went home which looks the same as the day I left it.

On the way home, I talked with papa about nothing and everything. I missed this a lot. He was listening to my rambling with a hidden smile in his eyes, nodding here and there to show that he was listening.

After a while, we reached home where I hugged Meeramasi who was like a mother to me.

Sonal - " Masi I missed you and your cooking so much."

Meeramasi-" I missed you too. You look so thin beti. Were you not eating properly? Don't worry while you are staying here I will make all your favourite food to fatten you up."

Sonal - " And I will eat everything but right now I am really tired so I think I will go to sleep now. Goodnight everyone." While I was going upstairs to my room I heard their different replies.

When I opened the doors of my room it is like no time has passed at all. It was the same as I left it 2 years ago. I entered my safe haven from the world and as soon as my head touched the pillow I was in a dream land.
