Love, Catherine

CHAPTER 4

THIRD PERSON'S POV

She was holding her hand na para bang hindi niya ito kailanman bibitawan. A promise was made between these two hearts. A promise of having each other's hand when the time of trouble comes.

Catherine was just only 24 when she had a relationship with a woman like her; Gillian. Gillian was not an ordinary woman for her. But because of William's plan, nawala ang lahat ng pangako. When she arrived, she found herself walking down the aisle, marrying the man who ruined all her dreams and happiness. Wala siyang nagawa. Hawak ni William ang lahat even her parent's decision.

A year after their marriage, she gave birth to Cate. Nagbalik ang saya at sigla ni Catherine. Cate brought it all back. She gave her daughter the care, love, attention and everything that she needs. But then...

CATHERINE'S POV

I found myself lying on the couch while on the floor is an empty glass of wine together with my wine glass. Nagbalik sa ala-ala ko ang nangyari. Napakuyumos ako sa aking mukha.

I hurriedly grab the telephone and dialed her number.

In my mind there are some things that keep running while hearing the phone rings. I know nasaktan ko si Sandy dahil sa ginawa ko kagabi. She doesn't deserves that. I should be thankful for what she did.

I don't know how to start this conversation but I need to.

"I'm so sorry about last night," ramdam ko ang gaspang sa aking boses dala ng naparami ko ring inom ng wine.

Wala akong naririnig na kahit ano mula sa kanya pero alam kong nakikinig siya.

"Alam kong nakikinig ka at nasaktan kita. Believe me pinagsisisihan ko iyon. It's just that I don't know what to do. I can't control what I felt when William did that to me and and..." I started crying because I can't hold my tears anymore.

"Catherine...listen Catherine. Hindi kita sinisisi, okay?," she replied.

With that medyo gumaan ang dalahin ko sa dibdib ko. But what I need is confirmation.

"W–will you forgive me?," I asked her that question without even knowing what she will answer.

I heard her sighed.

"I can't take seeing you like that. Don't you ever drive me away again," aniya na lubusang nagpagaan ng pakiramdam ko. "You need to rest...masakit sa ulo yan. Dadalahan kita ng lunch so you don't need to move a muscle," dugtong pa niya. This is the first time I got upset and all of a sudden, naidamay ko siya sa sama ng loob ko. Sometimes, there are things that will surprisingly come into your life and there you are... out of control of everything. You're lost. But out of the dark, Sandy came. She rescued me.

Today, she takes good care of me. Mukhang naparami din ang ininom kong wine kaya I have no choice but to rest.

"I'll make up to you," mahina kong wika kay Sandra. She looked at me and smiled. She rolled her eyes while walking towards me while I'm laying on my bed, resting my poor body. She sat down beside me.
