Chapter 1- the call that changed my life

"Mom, Mom Eddie Rios just called he said you need to call him!" "Well, okay he didn't exactly say you had to." "But please call back." She gives a chuckling smile and walks out to the balcony and dials the number I gave her. I run upstairs and sit on my balcony pretending to enjoy the actually listening to the whole conversation. When mom was talking I accidently knocked over the lawn chair. Mom looked up and eyed me and then went back to talking. "Well, it looks like my daughter is listening to our whole conversation." I hear laughing on the other line then a voice. "Well, we are just as excited as she is." My mom looks up at me and smiles. She points toward my room. I jump up and down and decide I should start packing. I pull down a giant duffel bag, a jumbo suitcase, and a small suitcase. I climb the stool in my closet and pull down my wallet phone case and the huge container of cheer bows. I throw all my cheer clothes and cheer supplies in the duffel bag and small suitcase. The big suitcase carries all my regular clothes and regular supplies. "Sky, come on get ready for your last practice with cheetahs. I throw on a black CA sports bra with dark blue Nike pros that match the lettering on the top. I unplug my phone and rush down the stairs throwing my hair in a high ponytail with a CA bow. "Sky, I called your coach and told her the great news." "Was she happy or sad?" "She was happy for you but sad that the team lost a wonderful all around cheerleader." My eyes started watering. Mom shushed me out the door and into the car. My eyes roamed all over the city trying to remember the view. I leave tomorrow for California. Everything in my room is packed up and ready for the big day. I jump out of the car and walk into CA. My team is sitting on the floor in a huddle. They stop talking as soon as I walk in. I must have had a sad face on. Matt jumps up and hugs telling me that we already know and that they were happy for me.
