"Ava Marie let's go your mom is waiting!"

"Sorry, daddy, I was trying to find my shoes." Ava replied.

"Your fine pumpkin, but run along or you will miss your private." he replied.

Ava carried her blue rebel dream bag with her shoes and a water bottle in side.

5 year old Ava has bright blue eyes and short blonde hair. She was wearing a purple Nike sports bra with matching spanks.

She skipped along the sidewalk to the car that was humming because of the engine. Her hair was pulled half way up with a purple cheer bow with a bedazzled swoosh. Her sliders flopped as she walked around the car to her door. Her black and pink car seat sat against the seat. Ava had learned early how to buckle her seat belt. She first buckled the ones over her chest then through her legs.

"Ava, what took so long?" her mother asked.

"Sorry, mommy I was finding my nfinitys." Ava replied solemnly.

Her mother nodded her head and grabbed the back seat to back out. Ava hummed the song as she watched mickey mouse on the headrest video player. Her mother looked back at her now and then to check on her.

The car turned off, so Ava knew they were there. Ava waited for her mother to come around the car to unbuckle her, because she wasn't very good at getting out. Her mother unbuckled and carried Ava into the gym, Stingray all-stars. Ava's coach Henry grabbed her in a bear hug and set her down to put on her cheer shoes.

"Ava, that was great now let's go work on back handsprings on the tumbl trak." Coach Henry said.

Ava just nodded and followed him to the tumbl trak. She ran real far and round-offed to far landing on the mat.

"Ava why don't you stand on the blue and jump off doing a back handspring." Coach Henry asked.

Ava's bright smile spread across her face and stood on the blue waiting for Coach Henry to place his hand on her back. Ava jumped backwards and Coach Henry guided her legs to the mat.

Coach Henry led Ava toward the lobby door pushing it open allowing a gushing breeze to float to her. Ava ran to her mother giving her a big hug. She pulled Ava onto her lap and waited for Henry to speak.

"Ava is doing great, I think she could try-out for an all-star team next week if she keeps working on those back-hand-springs." He said encouragingly.

Ava's mother wasn't the competitive type, she just assumed Ava would end up hating cheer after a year or so, and didn't want to invest money in it, so it came as a surprise to her.

"Do you really think she will enjoy it?" Ava's mother said.

"I think she will have a lot of fun. and she will do great if she continues to practice." Henry replied with a smile.

Ava had sometimes seen practices going on and wanted to join, but Henry never explained what she had to do to be on one.
