Chapter 4- First Competition

The sheets on the bed ruffled loudly which brought me to my senses that today was my first competition in Georgia. I was hoping to be a cheersport champion this weekend. I slung the hotel bed covers off and grabbed cup. I walked into the bathroom and filled it up with ice water. I dumped it on Cal's head and hopped in bed discarding the cup on the floor. I closed my eyes and waited. all of a sudden Kian screamed launching from his bed. I held in a giggle and sat up. there were two drenched men standing beside Kian's bed. I laughed and pointed and started running down the hall to breakfast. Cal on my heels with Kian chasing him. I run into the elevator just in time for the doors to close on them. I giggle and step off the elevator running to Gabi's room. Cal will never find me here. I knock on the door and remember the door of the elevator says what floor it is on. Then I thought I never told them Gabi was on this floor and there was an old man on the elevator. I shrugged and was greeted with a giant hug. Gabi slammed the door and locked it. I told her what I had done in a montone voice. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Gabi told me to go to the bathroom and to turn the water on in the shower. I did what I was told. I heard Gabi telling Kian and Cal she didn't know were I was. They asked who was in the shower. She replied with a quick "my mom, why?" "I was wondering if it was Skylar," "Oh, well it is not so can you leave so I can get dressed. I heard gruff voices and the door slamming while Gabi locked it. I turned the water off and opened the door to see Gabi smirking at me. "I tricked them well, didn't I." "Yes, you did." I shrugged and thanked Gabi. "Hey do you want to go eat I am starved." "Sure." Gabi opened the door and we started walking down the hall when we heard Kian and Cal's voices. Gabi pushed me into a janitor's basket covered with clean sheets.(phewww) Gabi jumped behind the cart and hid there till the voices were gone. Gabi laughed while pulling me out. We made it to the elevator and pushed lobby.
