The music stopped as Jadan tumbled to the floor from her stunt. She groaned and got up. I smiled and got set again. The music starts in our stunt section and not half way through the music stops. We retake and Jadan is on the floor again. I can tell she is crying by her red face, Jadan is the youngest on the team and Eddie and Orby expect a lot from her. She asked to go to the bathroom and we did it again. She comes back during tumbling and does terrible. She falls on her butt and arm. She gets back up and gets yelled at. Eddie makes her do her tumbling pass a million times after practice.
Jadan finishes and rushes past me crying. She runs out to her sisters car and they pull away. I sigh and turn to the office. I gather all my stuff and go out to my car. I pull out and head home. I think about Jadan the whole way. I feel bad she is only in 6th grade. I think about the first time I came here and live with Eddie and Orby. I miss my mom but she passed away from cancer. A tear falls down my cheek as I think about it. Then I remember Jadan's mom has cancer. I sigh and head home. That night I pray for Jadan and her mom and all that they are going through.
